Two things:

First, what was the heckler saying? I turned up the volume, cut still couldn't make it out.

Second, your spelling is not correct. It's "HillBilly", not "HillBillie", and clearly that person is Not a Hillbilly. Trust me on that one. Wink1

If you really want to rub shoulders with hillbillys, go to East Tennessee, Western North Carolina, West Virginia, or western Virginia, or parts of Kentucky. That is where REAL Hillbillys live. It's because they live in the Hills,......and mountains too. Wink1

Didn't Hillary and Bill come from Arkansas? Can't you imagine Hill telling Billy to "Hey, Watch this!"

Hillary was not from Arkansas, and Bill was not from the Ozarks, which would have some claim to hillbillyness. However, the real term comes from the Scotts-Irish Americans, living in and around the Appalachian Mountains area.

Think moonshine, stills, fast Fords, Thunder Road, and Kingston Pike, when you think HillBilly. Right Patrick?

Sorry, John, but Arkansas has its Hillbillies. My mother comes from a county there where every rural mailbox has the same last name. There is no one more rednecker than a president who had outdoor carpeting in the rear of his pickup truck for hot dates.

You're right. I forgot about Rabun Gap, and that area.

Thunder Road. Man does that bring back memories guys?

"When his engine roared they called the highway Thunder Road".

"Each time they thought they had him,his engine would explode he'd go by like they were standing still on Thunder Road".

"If you can't get through,I'd rather have you back again than all that mountain dew".

True story embellished a little, the fatal crash happened right past Bearden Hill on Kingston Pike. Incidentally, this movie was totally a Mitchum Production on a low budget to comeback from blacklisting after a marijuana possession arrest. Once again,Elvis Presley was asked to be in what becomes legendary film and he wasn't allowed to by Col. Parker.

Mitchum Sings It

Don't forget Sand Mountain area of Alabama near Chattanooga.
