Israelian genocide on Palestine continues
Me wondering why I even bother to read Q-bert's posts...

I know you think you understand what you thought I said,
but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant!

This sounds like a good solution, but,Jordan and Egypt aren't about to take the pressure off Israel cause they don't have to.

Palladin, your link refers to the Burris tragedy, and not the Israeli-Gaza war.
Jefferson: I place economy among the first and important virtues, and public debt as the greatest of dangers. To preserve our independence, we must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt. We must make our choice between economy and liberty, or profusion and servitude. If we can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of caring for them, they will be happy.

Gaza just lost its Interior....

I love this logic from JPost article:

Quote:Responding to the assassination, Hamas exiled leader Khaled Mashaal said that "Israel has totally lost it." According to Mashaal, the hit was proof of Israel being "unnerved", since "it couldn't cope with the Palestinian resistance activists in the Gaza Strip battlefield."

Spoken like a true Heyoka....

Q, does this feel like a genocide against the Siamese? Wink1
Government is necessary because people left unchecked will do evil.

The government is composed of people left unchecked

I've been out of the loop, why is there a possibly "enforced ceasefire"? Is someone else trying to get them to stop fighting, or are they expecting low quality decisions from Obama? I might think it's the latter.

I hope BHO doesn't take Newsweek (or was it Time, both the same I guess) advice in getting hard on Israel rather than Palestinians. He probably will. I may hate that man even more as he continues his reign in office.

Israelis: Troops to Leave Gaza Before Inauguration

As I supposed would happen. The Israelis do not wish to test BHO.

A fevered assault on the Gaza strip in the final days of a Bush administration Israel knew would turn a blind eye. What has Israel gain from this? Nothing. All it has done is engender yet another generation of Palestinians who will look to seek vengeance; and so the cycle continues.

And the bankers will continue to get rich.
As Gary Lloyd said, "When the government’s boot is on your throat, whether it is a left boot or a right boot is of no consequence."

Well, there you have the gain. Mission accomplished.

uh, slight correction.

the cycle will continue if Hamas is re-armed by Iran and continues to lob rockets into Israel.

What pessimists we have on this discussion board. Have you all forgotten the new POTUS and his right hand Woman, HRC? Their deftness will amaze you, and the lion shall lie down with the lamb.

...do you doubt they will rearm! Of course they will, from whatever source.

then those that re-arm Hamas are responsible for the next round of violence.

if my kid went around shooting eveything with a pellet gun, but i kept giving it back to him everytime it was confiscated by the cops, i would be to blame.

I concur. However, the wise folks in the UN and the EU seem to think otherwise, regarding the Israelis. They will not proclaim against Hamas, nor will they insert troops to control Hamas.

Now suppose that you were a "minority" person and kept giving your kid the pellet gun. You would not be to blame, the law enforcers would "understand" or just ignore the complaints of your neighbors. But your neighbors would get in a lot of trouble if they took the law into their own hands. Maybe this phenomenon is not too far away in the US.

Tonk,

Correct,if Israel would simply sit still while their enemies try to massacre them like they did in Germany during the holocaust, you Europeans would be thrilled.

I guess Jews aren't so interested in currying favor with people like you anymore.

the jews aren't probably interested in currying favor with anyone anymore.

all these moonbats who think they have seen the worst of Israel cannot fathom what a fight to the death will actually look like. we haven't even begun to see what mankind will do to itself when it is fighting for pure survival.

There will not be a fight "for pure survival" (at least I think the prob. is << 50%). But there will not be any peace and quite either. Most likely (prob. >> 50%) the thing will remain the same because everyone is happy (well, content enough) with status quo.
