The biggest problem Tommy, is that most of them know absolutely nothing about events beyond their own life span.  Even going back less  than a thousand years is ancient history to them.  None of that stuff computes.

Plus, it doesn't help their narrow minded idea of how the universe is supposed to work.  Gah

Here is a thread showing that today's Arctic ice level is above the average for most of the Inter Glacial period:

New Paper Indicates There Is More Arctic Sea Ice Now Than For Nearly All Of The Last 10,000 Years

Me and Kenneth posted a few more links to published science papers on this topic in the comment section.

Tommy, you wait until we really begin entering this Grand Solar Minimum and then watch all the squealing and pontificating. Some think we are entering it already, but I say around 2020, the next solar cycle being when the sh-t is going to really begin hitting the fan.

I'm going to love every minute, just watching these grown children try to come up with all sorts of excuses. S6

Its nice to be living in the SE right now.

Here is a three-way video.  One is 'real time', the next is 'slo-mo', and the last one is from a different person. Some unidentified woman is definitely not happy. S13

I don' think overly cold or hot, wet or dry is a good argument for or against AGW myself. Either side can make the point that this stuff has always happened.

This is what shapes our climate, more than anything humans could even think of doing.

All this global warming is getting ridiculous.

Quote:Colorado towns hit with 3 feet of snow. Happy May

A May snowstorm continued to pound the central and northern Rockies on Friday, a day after burying portions of Colorado under three feet of snow.

The storm has created headaches for travelers on highways, caused thousands of power outages and forced schools and businesses to close.

The highest reported snow total so far was 42 inches near Allenspark, Colo., the National Weather Service said. Many other locations picked up between two and three feet.

More snow is forecast Friday before it tapering off Saturday.

Hey Jack, how much did you get?

The IPCC report said SIXTEEN years ago, that Snowfall would be less, while rain and Freezing rain be more common in the winter:

"Milder winter temperatures will decrease heavy snowstorms but could cause an increase in freezing rain if average daily temperatures fluctuate about the freezing point. It is difficult to predict where ice storms will occur and identify vulnerable populations. The ice storm of January 1998 (see Section 15.3.2.6) left 45 people dead and nearly 5 million people without heat or electricity in Ontario, Quebec, and New York (CDC, 1998; Francis and Hengeveld, 1998; Kerry et al., 1999). The storm had a huge impact on medical services and human health. Doctors' offices were forced to close, and a large number of surgeries were cancelled (Blair, 1998; Hamilton, 1998). One urban emergency department reported 327 injuries resulting from falls in a group of 257 patients (Smith et al., 1998b)."

I notice Tommy's Global Warming Skeptics in his signature no longer works. Another anti-PC website taken down?

Repaired it, as it was out of date.

Thank you for noticing.

It looks like the landslide just missed a house, and passed really close to the winding driveway.

Sure, but depending on the direction of your commute ... you could be still be pretty screwed.
