G-d forbid, I would not wish IE on anyone. So,..................let me suggest first that you start Opera, and then go to "Tools". Then go to "Preferences", and click on the "Advanced" tab. Click on "Cookies" and then go to the bottom of the window, and click on "Manage Cookies". Are you reading this also Jim?

this may take a while to process all the cookies. Once it finishes, go to "www.itsallpolitics.com", which will be near the very bottom. If you don't look for the "www" part, you will miss it. Now, highlight the cookie, and it will most likely show more than one cookie(I have three subcategories). Hit "Delete", wait for it to process. Then close and try getting on to IAP.

If that still does not work, then there is a 'pathway' problem. I had it happen once to me. Usually it has to do with Microsoft's attempt to keep Opera 'down for the Struggle', as Obama calls it. Just go to Opera, and download the latest version.

One other thing I advise you to do. I do this periodically myself, and am overdue here. Back up your information from Opera. Set up a folder, usually on your backup hard drive, if you have one. I keep two on all the time, but I will bet you that you don't know what I am talking about. Sooooooooooo, make a folder within "My Documents" and title it "Back-Up". Then make a sub-folder within that folder, and title it "Opera Backup". Now go to Opera's "File" button at the top left of the open window, and watch for the 'drop down' box. Go to "Import and Export", follow that to "Export Opera Bookmarks", and tap on it. It will ask you where you want the backup to go. Just go to the subfolder for "Opera Backup" In that Open window(which you just made). Now where it says "File Name", it will say something like "Opera6". Just add today's date, which is 7-22-2007. Click on "Save" and you have a backup of your bookmarks information up to today's date. That way, if you have a problem, you can go and import it back, at your leasure. I do this about once a month, and should do it more often, because you never know when Windows will decide to "Screw You Royally", so to speak. It's best to be prepared.

Now, once you have the information saved, just start the new Opera program and install it over your existing program(asking you to delete the existing Opera may be asking too much, but it is generally not necessary). It should preserve all your settings, but will be the new version of Opera. NOW, go to IAP and try again. It should work flawlessly.

Can you do this without help? If not, you know my phone number. Wink1

That is all good information John I will try it. I am happy with Firefox, but I also really like Opera too. I tend to have them both open, Firefox for IAP and Opera for most other stuff. I don't think I have opened IE intentionally in months...

I just reedited the post above. Please reread it as I made some changes. Again, if you have a problem contact me, as I have been down that path before. Microsoft goes out of it's way to screw anyone wishing to compete against them, and they hate Opera, for obvious reasons. How dare they come out with something so much better. That is why they have FrontPage(the most used internet page maker) constantly change things, making it hard for Opera to always work flawlessly. The folks at TechCentralStation use Frontpage, and I have had to E-mail them about this every once and awhile. It drives me nuts.
