Yes, I once knew a guy who went back to school because he was tired of crappy jobs.
The true purpose of democracy is not to select the best leaders — a clearly debatable obligation — but to facilitate the prompt and peaceful removal of obviously bad ones.

And in the "Every Action Has Consequences" Category, progressive states are moving quickly to the ideal $15 dollars per hour goal.  Unfortunately, they lack the ability to understand economics, and how this highly encourages automation, and less jobs for first time employees.   Here comes the "Dose of Reality" they never bothered to anticipate.
