Tim Kaine Calls on Democrats to “Fight in the Streets!” …Just Like His Antifa Son Did Before His Arrest

While in Honduras Kaine embraced an interpretation of the gospel, known as liberation theology. This wasn't mainstream “Catholic thought” at the time. It was a radical, Marxist-based ideology at odds with the Church, the pope, and the United States, but supportive of (and supported by) the Soviet Union.
The true purpose of democracy is not to select the best leaders — a clearly debatable obligation — but to facilitate the prompt and peaceful removal of obviously bad ones.

Tim Kaine has the right idea here, doesn't he? Become a mob and the citizenry will rise up and support the Jackasses.  It may be a plausible tactic, but not from a strategic POV.  S13

Quote:“What we’ve got to do is fight in Congress, fight in the courts, fight in the streets, fight online, fight at the ballot box, and now there’s the momentum to be able to do this,” he said in the 2017 interview. “And we’re not afraid of the popular outcry, we’re energized by it and that’s going to help us do our job and do it better.”

I always liked Tim Kaine on the Carol Burnett Show. It was hilarious how he couldn't keep a straight face when Tim Conway started ad-libbing.

John,

It's part of Saul Alinksy's top down, bottom up, inside out strategy to overthrow a government he was taught when he was a teenager.

The only problem with his "Rules for Radicals", is that he assumed all radicals to be Collectivists, i.e. Socialists/Marxists.  And yes, Fascists as well. But he was wrong.  I, for one, consider myself a radical Individualist(Classic Liberal).  Individual Liberty is well worth dying for.

But I do not adhere to many of his rules.   'Course, I'm not a Collectivist either.   Spiteful

I've never thought of Alinsky as a philosopher. He did look at Machiavelli and Sun Tsu to inspire him - but his greatest inspiration came from the Mafia, where he learned about hiring hit men. He worked for Frank Nitti, who pretty much ran Al Capone's outfit when Capone was fighting the tax rap. Alinsky asked why they hired hit men from out of state, because it was more expensive, and was told you don't want to send someone out to kill someone they might know. His basic paradigm starting by learning how to con an honest business to get free food, and then teaching others how to do it, too. There's a reason it is called the "Clinton Crime Family."
