The Coming IT Conflict, & Alex Jones
#1
This Alex Jones thing is steadily gaining weight, and it harbours bad vibrations about an upcoming conflict between the IT giants and Individual Liberties.

Facebook, Apple, YouTube and Spotify ban Infowars' Alex Jones

Is anybody worried here about what is going on?

As much as I loathe Alex Jones, the solution is rebuttal, not erasure.

While Rush Limbaugh made his name by broadcasting truth and exposing disinformation, Jones made his with broadcasting conspiracy theories that he did not believe, himself. His shows about UFOs was hand-in-glove with Sharpton's Mother Ship. I still don't know why Ron Paul was one of his favorite guests.

The IT giants are populated by Progressive wannabes, who will say and do anything to help their political viewpoints. That is a given. Until our education system is repaired, I don't see an easy solution.

Roger L. Simon has this to say about what is going on.

I don't think Alex has any constitutional right to access a given platform. None of us do.

The guy's lawyers openly stated in court cases literally "only a fool would believe what Alex Jones says".

He's not entitled to accessing any platforms even if he wasn't a charlatan. But, he is one.

Regardless of him being the 'charlatan', or kook, that he is, Facebook, Apple, YouTube, Spotify, and perhaps some others, screwed up because they have been caught playing favorites, by allowing the other side get away with pretty much that and more than what Jones has done.  In other words playing favorites, when they advertise their 'so called' even-handedness.

Also, from a public standpoint, they are already paying the price for being exposed, and they will either be forced to make these left wing opposites become 'token' loses, or reinstate Jones out of a thing called "Shaming".  I have a special thread about this somewhere, and it looks like Shame can still be used.

I agree, it's a slippery slope. Having said that, it is their right to do so, they are under no lawful obligation to allow any specific person access I don't think.

Whether or not this claim is accurate is unknown, but clearly the IT Big Boys made a Huge mistake by blackballing Alex Jones. He's increasing his membership as a result.

I don't think shaming works for egomaniac charlatans like Jones, or the politically-religious zealots like most Leftwing IT guys. I'm not sure their response will be projection, but they will probably double down. If the Social Media blinks it will be monetary consideration - not shaming.

Shows how ignorant and delusional that many million right wingers are. The man himself testified you would be a fool to believe anything he says and yet they rush to sign up.

Talking about Potemkin village.

Who says he has 5-6 million new subscribers? I'd like to see that data.

I really don't care much about Alex Jones or Michael Savage. Neither one puts doing what is right at the front of their business plan.

Doesn't matter. The other day one of the radio hosts said that he would even support those he didn't agree with in order to oppose the principle of shutting down one's free speech. Point is that if they are allowed to do this to a kook, it is only a matter of time before they may come for you.

Agree with you there. What I make mention of is that someone trying to gain public support for unethical actions always use slime balls as the target for their own sliming.
