Nanowood....Are Styrofoam's Days Numbered?
Somehow I missed this topic when it first came out in March of this year.  But the implications are Huge, just as with carbon nanotubes, as a super-strong, lightweight  building material.  

If this process is able to do all this very inexpensively, this will not only replace styrofoam, but even steel building materials.  The sky could be the limit here.

Could ‘Nanowood’ Replace Styrofoam?  Scientists at the University of Maryland have developed a biodegradable material that is both strong and a good insulator
