Furor over the pardon. The two aspects of Obama issuing a pardon for Hillary when she was Secretary of State are the appearance of guilt and utility. Burdick v. U.S. says that if one accepts a Presidential Pardon, then that person admits guilt. Secondly, there are no current cases against Hillary to be pardoned for. Perhaps a pardon can be sidestepped?

I think it is safe to say that number two of the image right above is not over yet for MacDaddy. Something is coming up on January 15th, and it gives him another chance to make his Last Betrayal of those pesky Joos.

Quote:Obama and Kerry aren’t done yet — they have a big date coming up in Paris on January 15

Now comes the January 15 Paris conference and the resolution resulting from it. Its product is foreseeable from Kerry’s recent speech. He said that the Israeli settlements are dangerous because they threaten the possibility of a “two-state solution.”

The Paris resolution will go at least one enormous step further than the December UN resolution, one that Israel’s enemies have wanted to go but America had always — until Obama — stopped them.

The Paris resolution will either demand Israel recognize a Palestinian state with borders conforming to the pre-1967 war borders or will do so on behalf of the nations in attendance. It may set a deadline for Israel to do so.

The Paris agreement may go even farther. It could state that if Israel doesn’t agree to recognize that form of a two-state solution by the deadline, international sanctions will be used to compel Israeli compliance with the measure. Such sanctions could threaten Israel’s economy and its military.

If the Paris resolution contains any of those decisions — and it will contain at least some — Trump will tweet against it and demand that the UN reject it. He tried that tactic on the December 23 UN resolution to no effect. He’ll have no better luck this time.

Trump is reportedly trying to get Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu to attend his inauguration. Let’s hope he succeeds. The best thing Trump could do would be to directly address Netanyahu in his inauguration speech, telling him that the Paris resolution and whatever the UN does with it are contrary to U.S. policy and that we reject whatever terms the Paris group and the UN demand.

On January 20, Trump won’t be able to do more and shouldn’t do less. But beginning on January 21, he can — diplomatically and otherwise — face down Israel’s enemies. He should, for one simple reason: they are our enemies as well.

The two-state solution has always been stupid. Israel has presented ways for it to happen, and it has always been the other side that reneged on it and ruined any such hopes. If there can be no negotiation, then the only solution is the one-state solution.

Here's the real problem, even though Patrick, and his Progressive church friends, would have a cow watching this.

The Middle East Problem

What is Obama thinking? He's sending forces to the Russian border.

Didn't he do enough damage with his "line in the sand?" No matter what he does, Putin just needs to wait out Obama's Lame duck spasms until Trump is sworn in. Talk about a "Reset Button!"

As he keeps acting like the child he is, he is allowing Uncle V V to make him look the fool,...again. Just as he did over the act of throwing out so many diplomats during the Christmas holidays.

President Obama Awards Himself Distinguished Public Service Medal

Something Edi Amin would do, but Obama is only one generation removed from the jungle.
The true purpose of democracy is not to select the best leaders — a clearly debatable obligation — but to facilitate the prompt and peaceful removal of obviously bad ones.

That is a sure fire indicator of one's sense of decency, or lack thereof. Shock

Once he is out of office he should be forever known as Obama-the-Incompetent.

Hr will endure for awhile because the Left is in a bad place and must deny the spot they find themselves in - so will rationalize his failures and project them onto those who are fighting against them. He's not much, but he's all they've got. The media says he is the most beloved politician in the nation, but that is a canard.

[Nobel Peace Laureate]Obama’s Administration Sold More Weapons Than Any Other Since World War II

... so maybe Obama's newest award was a "token of appreciation" from U.S. Defense Contractors?  .... do they get a vote?

This appears to be a major component of Obama's foreign policy. His claims of being the best friend ever of Israel is linked more to the military transfer of weaponry and Iron Dome anti-missile supplies than to ideological support. ...Same with other countries. He can be non-supporting of ideas and just give hardware we don't use anymore to give him wiggle room with talking about support and being friends.

The article I linked indicated that that Trump will simply extend that policy.  Perhaps, but I really doubt that it will continue to the same extent if he had lost.  Trump is actually bitching about the price tag of big ticket items like the F-35.  If the Dems had won, I doubt we would be hearing a President elect actually having the gall to make such complaints.  The most simple explanation of a peace through arms export policy is graft.  I doubt the current administration is really smart enough to have covered it's tracks very  effectively.  In this regard, leaks of the embarrassing details  for both the past administration and key Dem legislators could prove very valuable for Trump.  And what the hell ... they could blame it all on the Russians ... right?  S5
