Global Warming Nazis
#1
Dr. Roy Spencer has had enough: Time to push back against the global warming Nazis.

Quote:Yeah, somebody pushed my button.

When politicians and scientists started calling people like me “deniers”, they crossed the line. They are still doing it.

They indirectly equate (1) the skeptics’ view that global warming is not necessarily all manmade nor a serious problem, with (2) the denial that the Nazi’s extermination of millions of Jews ever happened.

Too many of us for too long have ignored the repulsive, extremist nature of the comparison. It’s time to push back.

I’m now going to start calling these people “global warming Nazis”.

The pseudo-scientific ramblings by their leaders have falsely warned of mass starvation, ecological collapse, agricultural collapse, overpopulation…all so that the masses would support their radical policies. Policies that would not voluntarily be supported by a majority of freedom-loving people.

They are just as guilty as the person who cries “fire!” in a crowded theater when no fire exists. Except they threaten the lives of millions of people in the process.

Like the Nazis, they advocate the supreme authority of the state (fascism), which in turn supports their scientific research to support their cause (in the 1930s, it was superiority of the white race).

Dissenting scientific views are now jack-booted through tactics like pressuring scientific journals to not publish papers with which they disagree…even getting journal editors to resign.

Like the Nazis, they are anti-capitalist. They are willing to sacrifice millions of lives of poor people at the altar of radical environmentalism, advocating expensive energy policies that increase poverty. And if there is a historically demonstrable threat to humanity, it is poverty.

I’m not talking about those who think we should be working toward new forms of energy to eventually displace our dependence of fossil fuels. Even I believe in that; after all, fossil fuels are a finite resource.

I’m instead talking about the extremists. They are the ones who are sure they are right, and who are bent on forcing their views upon everyone else. Unfortunately, the extremists are usually the only ones you hear from in the media, because they scream the loudest and make the most outrageous claims.

They invoke “consensus”, which results from only like-minded scientists who band together to support a common cause.

This authoritarianism tends to happen with an over-educated elite class…I have read that Nazi Germany had more PhDs per capita than any other country. I’m not against education, but it seems like some of the stupidest people are also the most educated.

So, as long as they continue to call people like me “deniers”, I will call them “global warming Nazis”.

I didn’t start this fight…they did. Yeah, somebody pushed my button.

NOTE: A couple people in comments have questioned my use of “Nazi”, which might be considered over the top. Considering the fact that these people are supporting policies that will kill far more people than the Nazis ever did — all in the name of what they consider to be a righteous cause — I think it is very appropriate. Again, I didn’t start the name-calling.

Geez, most of what I've read and seen, Dr. Spencer is a somewhat even-tempered guy.

After some thought, I find his characterization of Global Warming Nazis to be mostly appropriate.

However, calling non-Global Warming Nazis "Deniers" or "Denialists" does not since we (I consider myself an non-Global Warming Nazi) do not deny anything of substance.

We do not deny that it has been warming globally since the end of the LIA.

We do not deny that there is something described as a "Green House Effect" caused by certain atmospheric gasses, primarily water vapor.

We do not deny that CO2 is one of the gasses that make up the "Green House Gasses".

We do not deny that these Green House Gasses add to atmospheric temperature warmth, although at some altitudes it may actually contribute slight cooling.

We do not deny that man contributes to the level of CO2 in the atmosphere by burning fossil fuels.

We are only in agreement among ourselves that the amount of warming of the atmosphere caused by our contribution to the atmospheric CO2 is not causing, or will, in the foreseeable future, not cause catastrophic heating of the Earth's atmosphere and disruption of the Earth's climate.

I suppose we do deny the catastrophism espoused by the GW Nazis, but, perhaps if more people had opposed the Nazis 60 plus years ago we wouldn't be using either the "Deniers" or "Nazi" characterizations now.

From the “If one walks like a duck and quacks like a duck” …

There is a group of people who do not believe that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gases is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth’s atmosphere and disruption of the Earth’s climate. (Thanks to the Petition Project)

This group would like further discussions, debates, data sharing, and a continuing exchange of facts, observational data and methodologies.

This first group walks like science skeptics and talks like science skeptics.

So, if they walk and talk in such a manner, then by their deeds so will they be known.

There is another group of people who believe that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gases is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth’s atmosphere and disruption of the Earth’s climate.

This group is limiting (the science is settled) any sort of discussion, debate, data sharing, or exchange of facts, observational data and methodologies.

This group walks like Nazis and talks like Nazis.

So, if they walk and talk in such a manner, then by their deeds so will they be known.

So it is written, so it shall be.

Oh boy, here's one more pinhead with far more business sense than common sense, and still pimping the AGW religion. He's just like that new Apple CEO, stating the same thing, and demanding that 'so called' Deniers not invest in their stock.

And I totally agree. We should get out of these AGW Nazis' way and let them flounder on their own, as the planet keeps cooling down.

Invest your monies elsewhere, because sooner or later, all these business are going to tank if they continue all this Global Warming Nazi stuff. S22

Here is the perfect example of why the words 'Jackasses' and 'Common Sense' are oxymorons, and should never be used in the same sentence. Dumbasses are bad enough, but Jackasses are the top of the ticket here. Here's what I mean: Donna Edwards Warns Climate Change Will Kill Off College Mascots.

Quote:“I want to encourage you to look at the National Wildlife Federation report, match it up with those brackets, see those species that are in danger because of our changing climate,” she said, noting that she would be taking her own advice. “I can’t wait to dig through the report and actually compare the dangers to those mascots to my brackets come Sunday.”

This woman needs shock treatment, to get her brain cells clicking again. And here is what report she was touting.

Quote:The National Wildlife Federation put out a report Tuesday entitled “Mascot Madness” that details how climate change could obliterate some of college mascots’ real-life counterparts.

“In fact, what I would say – if you pardon the pun – is that the game may soon be over for many of our wildlife mascots unless we reduce our carbon pollution and develop new energy sources,” warned Doug Inkley, a senior scientist for the D.C.-based group.

The animals in trouble span the country and the globe, according to the report.

Inkley used one particularly strong rivalry to prove the point. “Wolverines are tenacious animals, like the sports teams at the University of Michigan, but they rely on deep snowpack for denning and to raise their young,” he said. “This is disappearing as a result of climate change.” Meanwhile, in nearby Ohio, the buckeye – which is the state's official tree and Ohio State University’s mascot – is finding that Ohio is no longer the most suitable climate to grow in and is high-tailing it to Michigan.

So, what's the big deal anyway? The species will just move north, or south, depending on the climate. Its what they have been doing since the Pleistocene began over three million years ago. Big deal.

Quote:Other creatures who may face problems include red wolves of North Carolina State Wolfpack fame, whose coastal habitat could be destroyed. Gators – the mascot of the No. 1-ranked University of Florida – face a similar habitat problem. And the terrapins of the University of Maryland, which also live in low-lying areas, additionally could experience a sex-ratio imbalance because of the heat. “They face a reproductive threat,” explained Inkley. “When the terrapin eggs are incubated and the temperatures become warmer because of climate change, a greater proportion of eggs hatch as females.”

What a Crock of Intellectual Horseshit! first off, the 'so called' Red Wolves of North Carolina are really just Coywolves. In other words, a combination of wolves and coyotes having sex with each other and making fertile hybrids. The DNA already proves it.

But alligators and turtles not being able to move up and down with the changing climate? You've got to be kidding. Alligators are found as far north as North Carolina, and will just move their habitat northward if the climate warms further. Or most likely they will retreat southward as the next little ice age reaches its peak. And besides, what does this have to do with Florida's mascot, which will still remain no matter how the climate changes. They have been there, even during the last glaciation, and the ones before them. Jeeze!

This is Whoring in its finest brain dead fashion, and were I a Jackass, I would be so ashamed I would have to become a registered Independent, so as to shed the stigma of being associated with such idiots. Or even voting for brain dead voters who haven't the good sense to know another idiot when they see one. S5

I hope you are digesting all this Buzz, because its never too late to become at least an Independent and throw off all this mind numbing madness.

Oh, lookie here, we have a brand new AGW Nazi darling: US Philosophy Professor: Jail 'Denialist' Climate Scientists for Criminal Negligence.

Torcello, practicing Projection like a true professional, states in his article:

Quote: What are we to make of those behind the well documented corporate funding of global warming denial? Those who purposefully strive to make sure “inexact, incomplete and contradictory information” is given to the public? I believe we understand them correctly when we know them to be not only corrupt and deceitful, but criminally negligent in their willful disregard for human life. It is time for modern societies to interpret and update their legal systems accordingly.

Nothing wrong with losing species. Don't the do-gooder Leftists believe in Darwin? We don't need Wolverines in Michigan in order to have tri-bar and winged helmets. It doesn't really matter if we honor Pirates, Buccaneers, Boll Weevils, Artie the Artichoke, Cavaliers, Crusaders, The Fighting Pickle, The Fighting Okra, or Traveler - the mascot of Southern Cal (they think it is Tommy Trojan, anyway.) If the mascot species goes extinct, we can honor their past existence with the name.

This is just a continuation of the Global Warming Jihad using AGW as a cause to claim endangered species status for some marginal species that have been replaced by more successful critters. If a Spotted Owl can survive better on Kmart Signs than Striped Owls, who are we to complain?

Here is the Ultimate Classic example of Global Warming Nazi Kookdom, on parade for one and all to witness. This woman is for certain a member of the AGW Schutzstaffel.

But what is most interesting here is that she is labeling a new and growing number of people, who are actually going along with the original AGW Deniers, such as myself. They are the New Deniers, meaning they are suddenly looking at the numbers and seeing something they didn't take the time to realize before. And that 'something' is really Facts. And this greatly troubles this group leader.

Quote: Every time I reveal my secret identity — Climate Mom, defender of Earth, crusader against carbon-spewing bullies and their slack-spine political minions — I’m surrounded by New Deniers.

I don’t mean global warming deniers. No, New Deniers are scarier. They deny that action can help. Here’s their litany, reduced: Fossil fuel runs everything Citizen’s United killed democracy everyone’s busy youth are zombies we’re frogs in a heating pot it’s too late and you’ll never outspend Big Oil.

“Yup,” I concede, “it’s challenging.”

New Deniers argue against self-exertion — no point — and explain why my efforts will fail. Once I realized that engaging this way was, emotionally speaking, like trying to rescue someone drowning only to be submerged by flailing heft, I adopted a new approach: Listen, validate and consider it free therapy.

What she's really saying is that once the facts begin coming forth, they realize that this AGW craze is not worth the effort. And she sees it as hopelessness, which of course it isn't.

But she goes on to contemplate the ultimate for herself.

Quote:A Tunisian man set himself on fire in 2010 and sparked an international movement. Don’t tell my family, but I’ve considered that route. I mean, wouldn’t any parent sacrifice a kidney, lung or life for her child? Imagine the headline: “Soccer mom desperate to save children’s future self-immolates.”

But I can neither tolerate pain nor willingly traumatize children, so I ditched that idea.
After the State Department recently green-lighted Keystone, depressed friends warmed up their New Denier choir. I test-drove a new strategy. I lit myself on fire — figuratively.

Well, that's too bad, because I would have loved to see AGW monks setting themselves on fire. I haven't seen this since the overthrow of the Diem regime in South Vietnam. Sigh............

But note that she does like the rest of the Neo-Luddites, who preach the termination of millions, and are unwilling to lead via example. I wonder why?

But like what Alan Caruba stated in his March 5th article, which is making perfect sense:

"What we are likely witnessing are the long death throes of the global warming hoax"

And it is almost certainly going to get more vocal and outrageous, as a losing falsehood become more apparent to more bystanders. Perhaps some of them really will begin setting themselves on fire. Hey, Algore, are you reading all this, hint hint? S6S13

And here is Kerry's long lost brother, giving the latest up to date weather report.

William M. Briggs - It’s Time To Lynch Those Who Deny Climate Skepticism 16 March 2014 Wrote:Plus, I have spent years investigating not only the skillfulness of climate models (none, outside a few months ahead) but also the myriad papers which purport to show the evils which await us when global warming finally strikes. These papers, if the authors were to go back and assiduously rework them, might reach the standard of horrible. As it is, they are garbage. Bandwagon, confirmation-bias confirming, intellectually bereft, gimme-a-grant garbage. (See my Classic Posts page.)

Now I have come to the conclusion (it took me many years) that the terror of global warming is akin to many other “fear bubbles” or overblown alarums in history. It is no different in character than the “Satanic Panic” of the late 1990s, where legions of women “remembered”, via the kind assistance of “trained” therapists (folks who also relied on “peer-reviewed” literature), to have been abused by their fathers and to have eaten their babies in dark rituals. The only reason global warming lasted longer than that entertainment is that Global Warming Panic is truly global, involving Peu de Poulets as far away as France (incidentally, birthplace of our modern world)

More Climate Nazis over at WUWT today. Watts thinks he has isolated this swastika toting National Socialist as none other than Bill Forsyth. Forsyth has had previous run-ins with Watts, and this time under the hidden title of "GingerBaker".

Here's what he stated(click on the image for larger one):

The discussion of the “SS-SkS NAZI” (and other) images continues apace on twitter. I ended up in a private discussion with someone. As it’s private, I’m not going to quote from it. But I do want to discuss this issue: Does copy and display of those images as done at WUWT fit fair use?

Mind you: I’m not an attorney, but my sense is copying is probably fair use and I’m going to explain why I think so. This is a blog, so naturally, I invite any real attorneys to give their views. In my discussion, I’m going to refer to this post by Eugene Volokh, an honest to goodness law professor who discussed fair use as it applies to cease and desist letters. I’m using this explanation because I think the publication of cease and desist letter contain many similar elements to Brandon Copying and WUWT displaying some of the SkS images.

"GingerBaker" is correct:

"today, we are witnessing the murder-in-slow-motion of at least a billion people" by our restricting CO2 emissions and limiting cheap power to those people while we also limit their access to food by growing plants to be used for ethanol.

He just has the wrong villains - he has met the enemy and it is himself.

And even though she may, or may not run in 2016, the Beast* is setting herself up with the AGW Nazis, as a precondition to her possible campaign. She had better hope and pray that things don't continue to keep cooling down, or her own candidacy will cool even more.

Clinton wants 'mass movement' on climate change. In fact, the mass movement will most likely be in the other direction. S5
