Political Cartoons & Videos Thread III
49 out of 52 Republicans in the Senate are willing to do something. But they are blocked by the remaining three, and of course, all the Democrats. All the Republicans need is for one more senator to honor his/her campaign promises, and join with the majority. Then with 50 votes, the Vice President can cast the tie-breaker vote. That is how close they are.

I think you are entirely too optimistic Ron. Granted the reprobates are in the minority......................, however, they are in the leadership, and that counts for more than the members.

Personally I believe it to be virtually impossible to change that, like Steve Bannon seems to believe. ALL the leadership and Deep State Dumbasses will have to be removed, and that's not going to happen short of lining them up and shooting every last one of them.

There's only one practical alternative: Whigging them all out, and starting with a new replacement party. Sorry Ron, but until you guys are able to see the light and take action, none of this is really going to change. But I'm content, and have patience. Eventually you guys are finally going to lose your patience and come to my way of thinking. The only problem is,...."Will it be Too Late?" Shock

The problem, John, is getting from here to there. Can we get where we want to go by starting all over again with a new party? Or by making a few more alterations in the one party that already is closest to what we want, that does already have a majority who are in favor of conservative, populist values? Starting over again with a new party would take another whole generation or more. And how much irreparable damage would be done to our country in the meantime? Could we survive another twenty years of Obamas and Clintons? Getting the present GOP to be what it needs to be could be accomplished with one more election, the one in 2018. If we can't succeed with that when we are already so close, then there is really no hope of getting any new party by any means. We can do it in one more year, John--just one more year. That is how close we are. Now is not the time to give up on the Republicans.
