This is an excerpt from the award-winning documentary Emancipation Revelation Revolution.

A nice video sstommy. In addition to the failure of the GOP to make its case, the general populace does not seem to care about history or facts.

Demagoguery wins almost always, and is mostly practiced by the left. The modern left was started by Rousseau and the Reign of Terror after the French revolution exhibits the consequences of demagoguery and emotionalism.

If people's thoughts and reactions are so overwhelmingly determined by emotionalism (and so by propaganda), it is not clear how the "logical right" can sway them. Thus the Negros and Jews are lost to the GOP for a very long time.
Jefferson: I place economy among the first and important virtues, and public debt as the greatest of dangers. To preserve our independence, we must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt. We must make our choice between economy and liberty, or profusion and servitude. If we can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of caring for them, they will be happy.
Yes, a good video. Blaming those who were on the good side against the KKK, though, distorts the current situation.

We've all come a long way since the Democrats started up the original KKK as a Democrat action arm. It was totally defeated and ended until Woodrow Wilson brought it back. Wilson was the author of the current Progressivism, and he championed the film, Birth of a Nation, which reinvented the KKK for modern times. The era was one of reinvention of failed political achievement under the auspices of Keynesianism and Marxism.

It is hard to blame people like Everitt Dirksen for not being venerated by the media and Progressive historians. The Dems get voted in because the kids who grew up to vote for them never learned truth and facts in the Progressive schools. The same factors that robbed history of truth, rob present-day politics as well. It now takes great communicators like Reagan to overcome the media bias. Good people with good ideas are not able to do what Reagan did. Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, Rand Paul, and others try, but barely can dent the media barrier. What is worse, is that the few opponents of Progressivism who actually get voted in, are often those who play the game by schmoozing the media, a lá McCain and Christie.

It is not exactly tolerance being the bad guy, here - it is advancing the few good guys who get in and using the also-rans like Christie and McCain to give them the numbers necessary to win the power.
