And here we go with the first tropical storm that will most likely end up a hurricane: Tropical Storm Chantal Aims for Caribbean.

This picture, from AccuWeather.com is worth the thousand words.

I certainly was lucky today.  I checked the weather and discovered that the rain would not hit here in the Raleigh area, until this afternoon.  So I let things try to dry out and waited till the last minute to mow the lawn.  And it worked out perfectly fine.  Now it can rain like crazy and I know my lawn won't look like a jungle in the process.  S22

And speaking about Hurricane Michael, the eye of the storm is about to come ashore on the Florida panhandle.  I feel sorry for those in the Carolina seabord, because they are still flooded, and this rain will only make it worse.  S4

It's driving the warm weather from the Gulf to Southern Ontario.

Weather forecasters in Windsor, Ontario (just SE across the Detroit River), like to speak of cold fronts moving in from the United States.

That's probably the only place in Canada where they are able to say that, and keep some semblance of a straight face. S13

The temperature today in the Niagara region was 28.3 Celsius or 82.94 Fahrenheit compliments of warm weather being push up from the Gulf.
