The "Tsunami Bomb"
Now, this is really interesting. In fact, it can be downright frightening if found to really work.

Quote:'Tsunami bomb' tested off New Zealand coast
The United States and New Zealand conducted secret tests of a "tsunami bomb" designed to destroy coastal cities by using underwater blasts to trigger massive tidal waves.............

The plans came to light during research by a New Zealand author and film-maker, Ray Waru, who examined military files buried in the national archives.

"Presumably if the atomic bomb had not worked as well as it did, we might have been tsunami-ing people," said Mr Waru.

My guess is that one explosion would not be nearly enough to accomplish the goal of destroying a coastal city, or military installation. Rather, several explosions could be used, at proper intervals in order to build up the resulting wave. In other words, some sort of 'harmonics' being achieved by staging each explosion along the exact point of the wave effect, requiring less energy to make the wave far more intense.

This is really worth pondering, because somehow there must be some science behind this that really could create a huge tsunami effect providing the explosions were laid out properly.

The more I think about this, the more I believe there is a computer program somewhere in the Pentagon, where the math has already been determined. Any stealthy submarine would be able to get in and start something like this rolling.
