UFOs: Maybe They Aren't Out There After All

What about making a SphereWorld around the sun? Even more inhabitable surface to overpopulate with!
The Sun would be totaly surrounded by a giant sphere and we would live on the inside side of it.
It would make our Sun invisible from outside, thought...

Even if the distance between our closest stars would be 1/10th of what they are, it will still be far out of reach for human exploration, let alone trade routes.
Trade supposes that transport is profitable. To be profitable the hyperspace travel must be possible with very little energy or that energy be very cheap.
I would be surprise that two civilisation have reached a degree of echnology which would allow interstellar trading. If they get this high technology they probably can get anything they want where they are already...

Fred, that would be the ultimate. However, that would require a Level 3 stellar civilization, and we are not even a Level 1 yet. And too, it is almost a given that the Ringworld would precede the Dyson Sphere.

Yes--it is not clear yet how the "north" and "south" portions of the sphere would be prevented from collapsing in the sun's gravity. The only place where centrifugal force would balance solar gravity would be near the solar equator.
