Why Beauty Matters
#21
It's a beautiful building, and makes the point. Although not very old, it doesn't look like a storage rack

Exactly. Someone took the time to design and build something beautiful. Who cares how old it is? If someone took that kind of time to build something today that looked like that I would enjoy it just as much. Sadly, you will not find the craftsman and masons these days who can do that kind of work. Worse, if you can, you won't be able to afford them, the materials or be able to build such a thing for the all around cost. Then you'll get the unions..... 'nuff said.

The Chrysler Building is a gorgeous Art Deco building, quadrat. It even has gargoyles on the top S5

The Empire State Building is another great example of Art Deco in NYC. Yeah, I know both of those examples are the "most popular", but they are fine examples of beautiful buildings.

This Site I stumbled upon looking for pictures for you and it has a few more nice buildings you might enjoy looking at even if you are familiar with them.

I think Miami has the largest collection of Art Deco based architecture in the US - not sure if that's a fact but I remember hearing that somewhere.

And speaking of Beauty and the Golden Ratio, there is this I found on Bored Panda.

Hand-Drawn Coloring Book Reveals Mathematical Beauty Of Nature’s Designs With Golden Ratio Illustrations

Its absolutely amazing how this one complex equation can be the very equation for perfection in this universe.  Everything fits neatly within the 1:1.618 ratio.  Anything that does not conform to that equation just doesn't register on the brain.  And not only humans, but all higher animals, and even birds.  Amazing.  This alone shows that there is a higher order in the universe, which created it all.  Anyone who recognizes the importance of this equation and doesn't believe in a Master Creator, us not using his/her brain.

John, I swear your sources seem unworldly. I though Tesla was out there, but applying the Fibonacci spiral to Trump's head is quite innovative.
