FTL
#21
Makes sense. I still believe the FTL thing can be cheated around, by use via a wormhole. If one cannot be discovered naturally, it may be doable if a transmitter and receiver are created and then take the receiver to a destined location. Then enter the transmitter and exit at the receiver.

I'm not remotely clear as to how much energy would be required but most likely one hell of a lot of it.

The only unexpected part is the speed with which they figured the issue.

Wormholes, with all respect, are simply mental exercises by scifi writers. There is no shred of evidence for their existence.

However: if one believes that the Universe was designed, it clearly includes accessibility as part of the design.

Actually no, it is also becoming established in the science community, just as parallel universes. Both are entirely plausible.

What type of parallel universes? 1a? 1b? 1c? 2? 3? The speed of neutrinos was settled by observation of a supernova in a small nearby galaxy 25 years ago. The neutrino burst arrived first, caused by the collapse of the star, and visible light 3 hours later when it blew up. the distance was somewhat greater than in the recent experiment, a little under 200 million light years. Neutrino speed = speed of light. Which doesn't mean only visible light, but every kind of electromagnetic radiation. Photons have a mass too, albeit small.
