Return To A Gold Standard?
#1
The subject of returning to a gold standard, for the US Dollar, is hot topic today, considering the trouble the dollar is currently in. Will it return soon? There are some experts, who are convinced that it's reinstatement is imminent.

Steve Forbes is one of these. Here is his gold prediction this week on the Judge's show. And notice how he skirts around the Judge's point about auditing the Fed.

Lewis E. Lehrman also talks to the Judge about the gold standard.

Needs to be intrinsic value to our currency. Whether it's gold or a basket of wheat I don't care. This funny money monopoly thing has no value beyond our confidence in our con men leaders and as such, we can work our entire lives and watch our savings vanish overnight.

Would it be $0.0005/oz?

Jefferson: I place economy among the first and important virtues, and public debt as the greatest of dangers. To preserve our independence, we must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt. We must make our choice between economy and liberty, or profusion and servitude. If we can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of caring for them, they will be happy.

Just as soon as BHO can channel FDR again.

Probably soon after the government starts a real estate division that rents or gives away foreclosed properties from insolvent banks to the less ambitious.
