Shark Week
#1
Just to clue you in, Shark week is on Discovery Channel. Fascinating - I didn't know a Great White hit depths of 2000ft below the surface during migrations.

Anyhow, don't miss any of this.

Yes, thanks to shows like that, we are learning far more about sharks than we ever thought possible. And they are all different in temperament too. But they are all very timid critters, and can almost always be scared off, if you know they are there.

I've watched many different species and all of them, before they attack, will spend a lot of time checking out the opposition, just in case it goes after them. I guess their eyesight is pretty bad.

Anyway, I haven't watched Shark Week for some time now. Anything interesting coming on?

They will do anything to get away from swimmers and shark researchers in underwater cages, it seems.
Jefferson: I place economy among the first and important virtues, and public debt as the greatest of dangers. To preserve our independence, we must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt. We must make our choice between economy and liberty, or profusion and servitude. If we can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of caring for them, they will be happy.

Shark Week is one of the few reasons to own a TV anymore.
Different eyes see different things. Different hearts beat on different strings.
But there are times for you and me when all such things agree.

Speaking of shark week:Honeymoon tragedy.

I wonder what the percentage of shark attacks are from bull sharks? I'll bet it's at least 50%.
