This is an interesting theory which has come out this last week, made by a man with an original mind.  Spiteful

Pennsylvania Man claims "Roundabouts" Causing TORNADOES or Uptick in Tornadoes

I just went on a search, looking for the direction a tornado turns, and here is what I found.

Quote:The second motion within a tornado is the primary rotational circulation. This is the primary (usually counterclockwise spinning) vortex which makes the tornadoes circulation. This is the primary circulation which determines the wind speeds within a tornado. This circulation can range from less than 70 knots to over 250 knots. There are several factors that determine this wind speed. Some of these factors include helicity (determined by low level speed and directional wind shear), small scale processes, CAPE, and the maturity of the mesocyclone.

"Roundabouts" in the US are all counter-clockwise, which jibes with the overwhelming majority of tornadoes.  Hey, after having to listen to the likes of 'so called' experts, such as Michael Mann and others, shouting and screeching over global warming, this guy's theory just might hold water.  S13

Roundabouts are a sore topic with me. They were originally brought in as a traffic-flow enhancer, but I think really because someone was homesick for such things from Europe. I never saw anything that more encourages accidents, and befuddles hapless drivers (seemingly anyone but me). The only routes where they may work are low traffic roads, and I doubt traffic signals or simple stop signs slow traffic more.

Scientifically, them causing tornadoes is silly. Given a grid where there is a roundabout in nodal locations, their rotational factor becomes a negative to one located nearby. The uptick side would counter the downtick side of the other. There is no way for them to be synergistic and reinforce each other.

I neither like, nor have any use for them as well. I'd rather have a 4-way stop than that. S22

I first saw the countdown crossing lights in Vegas - but they are spreading quite rapidly across the country, too. The pedestrian crossing lights that used to just show a green walking icon or an orange do not cross symbol have a new aspect - these new devices, have a countdown clock to let crossers know how long they have to get across the road. Some are audio, so deaf crossers can hear them, but I doubt leader dogs understand the numbers. Other lights are controlled by camera, and traffic control agents control them by hand, back at the office. This is probably the best, just like having a traffic-control officer waving traffic through, but I've sat at such lights where the traffic control person went to sleep or had to leave their posts. One colleague I knew had one particular crossing agent's phone number on her cell phone in order to get one such intersection to work when she was tied up in traffic. Another new device has a seemingly endless pattern of control signals. Where we are used to waiting for amber to finish a turn, these lights do not allow turns and you must wait for a green turn signal either at the beginning or end of the next cycle. This may be fine in general, but when there is no traffic and plenty of time to turn on a yellow, it gets frustrating waiting through all the various cycles waiting for yours to come up.

Sometimes, traffic needs go beyond our capability to control it. There is a stretch of highway between Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor that just has too much traffic to work at rush hour. It was widened to over twelve or twenty lanes, but the traffic control institute in Ann Arbor says 100 lanes couldn't handle the traffic. Best reason I can think of for personal helicopters.

Vegas is also where I first saw "Braille buttons": little reflective domes in place of white lines that melt in the heat. You can close your eyes and go to sleep with the safety that comes with these lane-controllers.

The true purpose of democracy is not to select the best leaders — a clearly debatable obligation — but to facilitate the prompt and peaceful removal of obviously bad ones.

I know I've written about this before, but that woman's ancestors obviously came from South Africa, and were Hottentots(Khoikhoi).  Steatopygia is often called "Big Ass Syndrome".  Among a fair percentage of Blacks, this is a beauty enhancement, because it means that woman will be able to survive severe droughts.  It's built into their genetic makeup.

Obviously Kane West is of Hottentot ancestry, because he loves big butts.  Oh, and white women too, which makes him idealized for having the perfect white woman.  S22

I mentioned the other day that Alaska was going through a terrible heat wave, with many places being over 90F. That's really hot, and it is not only bad for humans but the critters living there as well.

This guy was seen relaxing in a back yard in Anchorage. S13
