Steve Wynn goes Chinese
Billionaire Steve Wynn has declared his company as a Chinese company.
There are going to be many others too.

Interesting, wouldn't be easier to declare it Canadian?
One thing that is interesting to notice is that Steve Wynn is a very bright and talented entrepreneur. In Vegas, when I was helping to build Casinos for Boyd Gaming, Harrah's, and MGM, Steve Wynn, Donald Trump, and Sheldon Adelson were the enfant terribles of the business world, and their hotel-casino complexes were the leading edge in Vegas and Macau. In other words, Like John said, Wynn is only the first to be rational - the rest are sure to follow.

Macau may not be Atlantis from Atlas Shrugged, but the similarities and parallels of Obama with the looters are striking.

Before Schumer shot off his mouth (illegally, BTW) and started the run on IndyMac that ended with a fallen economy and Trillions in wasted stimulus packages, Vegas was set to build a new Strip to the west of I-15. The infrastructure was in and waiting. We bid on building the Ferris-wheel casino for the Guggenheims, and property was being purchased all over the west strip for the new expansion projects. Boyd Gaming had started construction of Echelon, the soon-to-be largest hotel-casino complex when the roof caved in on the economy. On top of that, Obama called on stopping the "elitist" tour packages by corporations. He can go on vacation every other week - but no one else should.

Now all those projects are finished and in Macau or elsewhere. Thanks to Schumer and the Democrats who wanted a small hit on the economy before the election to get votes, untold billions were lost forever.

The infrastructure is still in place in Vegas for the new construction to begin again - but the business climate will need to support it. It is like this all over the country. Huge potential was put in abeyance or lost by the Democrat plan to slow the economy - but it can be revived with proper care.

Much of the stage was set in Vegas by the attacks on energy: the drilling moratoriums and regulations that forbid investment in oil, coal, oil shale, or nuclear. Tourists were priced out of visiting by high fuel costs, and McCarran Airport cut back on flights. Allow that drilling, expand refinery capacity, and tourism will come back.

Until then, we will see more potential projects leak into Macau, Singapore, Aruba, and elsewhere. Entrepreneurs will not wait to make money. They will go where the opportunity arises. When opportunity is taken away, we cause our own problems.
you are in an industry which exploits an addiction as bad as to drugs, to gaming and gambling. don't complain. you'll end up like the smokers, the very right-wing nutcases you endorse will see to it.

Yeah, sure is just evil. Do you live in a cardboard box?
Look at those profit numbers, they might leave Las Vegas altogether as small potatoes. Kind of makes me realize how wealthy Asians are becoming, especially China.
Wealthy while stealing american investors!

But one thing I wonder, if they can do it in the US can they do it at home? I guess at home it's more dangerous. The death penalty is sometimes applied and executed in such cases. Or do they ponder correctly between risk and gain of corruption?
Anyway it speaks volume of the reliability of financial datas of Chinese companies. How Chinese stocks have not crashed yet, I don't understand.

"the first truth is that the liberty of a domocracy is not safe if the poeple tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than democracy itself. that, in its essence, is fascism - ownership of the government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling power".

mr wynn and other billionaires probably feel that obama wants some power to be returned to the people, and seek a place that doesn't do that.

That may not be FDR - it sounds like the looters in Atlas Shrugged.
