How Dumbasses Enable The Jackasses.......
Assuming nothing changes in the next 2 years, I'd bet on a major league drop off in voter participation, why waste your time. There are going to be no alternatives, it doesn't matter how you vote.

I'd prefer a royal family and save the money and bs and maybe a king couldn't be bought off like the slimeballs we vote for.
Reply
Royal families do not have any real power, except perhaps in Jordan and Saudi Arabia.
Reply
They do in a real monarchy.

I've had second thoughts on this already, America's wealthiest people are willing to sell the entire nation down the river for 1 more dollar, so what good would a royal family do here, we worship money.

Never mind. A lot of the 1% of this nation is behind the AGW program for example.

It's Thursday night ... still not sure how this will go ...

Obama is joining forces with the GOP 'establishment' to try to crap this one out ... and given given Obama's track record, this is a very good sign if you're rooting for failure. Could just be high drama ... we'll know in a few hours ...

I prefer Cronybus to CRomnibus ... they came sooooo close to an appropriate title.

I was listening to America's 'so called' Truth Detector this afternoon. And like the last couple of days, he has been going on and on about the Dumbass's cowardice and just plain determination not doing what got them such a landslide. He has nothing good to say about the DOP, yet just can't bring himself to come out and say "I'm Through with you clowns".

And so, things will stumble along, as before. Nothing will really be gained, except the Jackasses will keep eroding away at everyone's liberties. It will be the old "Two steps forward, one step back, until they finally reach their destination. And the Dumbasses will cower in the corner, afraid of their own shadow, and everyone else's.

Well I guess "high drama" was the answer. Just saw an interesting take away from a Republican congressman that had been burned. Apparently, Boehner will need to pick off some Dem votes to retain his position as Speaker. That at least should be pretty fun to watch. Almost as fun as watching the Lizzy Warren bait and switch show.

Nobody's afraid of their own shadow or anyone else's John. But they're very afraid of tipping over the feed trough.

When people speak of "remove and replace" early next year, it will be confusing ... because it will be hard to tell if it is about Obamacare ... or Boehner.

Ahh, by nitpicking the symbolism of the statement, you are admitting them to be cowards, but just not that big of cowards, eh? S13

And believe me, it has more to do with cowardice than just fear. Obviously its both, and the main reason why I despise them so much.

As for the Boner, he has the backing of all the rest of the DC Dumbass elitists. So do you really think he will be replaced by a bunch of "lowly ticks riding the dog"?

Hey, I just cannot help myself Jack. I despise them so much, I just can't keep my mouth shut, or my fingers still. I'm just amazed that there are so many, who are willing to tolerate their worthless, and dishonorable, proclivities. S7

If by cowards you mean greedy, tipsy with power and corrupt ... then I guess OK ... there's a lotta yella ... on both sides.

Do the math John ... 57 Democrats crossed the aisle last night to get that turkey done ... way more than the GOP plurality surplus ... plus a whole gaggle of new Freshmen that will be very pissed that they were denied the option of a budget deal next month. The Hastert rule applies here ... the only way around it is picking off a few 'rat votes. If this goes down the way I'm thinking, it will be a great show! Things went into double overtime yesterday to fix the miscalculation of the chose few ... and that was with far less wildcards. Those new wildcards are the entire reason that piece of legislation was prematurely enactulated instead of waiting till next year. The leadership got what it wanted ... but things will soon be a great deal more difficult. Reid is an SOB ... but he was a dependable SOB. McConnell is cut from the same cloth ... but he doesn't have quite the same monolithic clay to work with. No guarantee that things will change, but at least the uncertainty is a start.

It wasn't that long ago that Eric Cantor was considered totally invincible ... remember that John?

And there are precedents for shady aisle crossings when it comes to the election of the Speaker ... it wouldn't be the first time.

It's painfully obvious that the leadership is willing to lie to the caucus. That's not really a sound foundation for building any sort of monolithic block. It's much easier to play games with a narrow majority. But once the 'surplus' majority reaches a certain critical mass ... not so much. Newbies are going to be far more concerned about getting duped than somebody with one foot out the exit. This might actually start getting interesting.

I dislike lots of her leftist politics, but, this Warren lady has this one right. She has no chance of election of course, but, we should end the too big to fail thing:

You have GOT to be kidding!!

Dodd-Frank was a gift to the big banks and sucks the life out of the little guys. It's littered with crap that that plants the feet of small businesses in concrete ... like the conflict mineral regulations and all sorts of other things that big companies can afford ... but push the little ones into bankruptcy. Warren is making hay with her populist ranting, but I'd give even odds that she is just as dirty with the banks as Barney Frank himself. Do a little search on the namesake of this legislation in relation to Brandywine. I could care less if there is a shutdown. The whole thing is garbage kabuki theater. The shit heads on both sides want to spend ... and they will find a way to keep spending. They learned their lesson after sequester. Fauxcahontas is as dirty as any of them ... they'll let her slide with a 'symbolic' nay vote ... and emotional speeches ... I'm sure after Boehner's narrow avoidance with disaster, Reid and McConnell have the votes all pre-counted. The only upside is that the bastards are having to work through the weekend. They'll want to get this done along with other crap, but the votes on nominations are going to proceed at a glacial pace ... so fewer of them will get rubber stamped ... thank heaven for small favors.

Virtually no one is calling out Warren for slowing things down ... on the other hand Ted Cruz is getting jumped by both sides.

It's over ... put a fork in. Cronybus is done ... 56-40. Not even close to a melodrama. But I'm sure Liz Warren's speeches will go down in history on par with the Gettysburg address ... S5

Soo, the Boner and other DC elites were able to pass the McDaddy approved spending bill and all is right with the Elitist World, eh? And all the Rebels, including Warren and Tea Party bomb throwers, are going to have to pound sand............again? Does this mean we can chalk this all down to a huge victory for the Jackasses and Jackass-Lites?

CROMNIBUS: A WINTER FESTIVAL OF UNRESTRAINED SPENDING

And here's how The Boner really broke the stalemate and sold himself out: Representative Marlin Stutzman: House Leaders Made False Promise to Get My Crucial Vote. He wants to ensure that he doesn't receive all of the negative praise for this. I listened to Stutzman on Friday, and he was a Very unhappy camper. I suppose he will not be voting for Boner as Speaker in January, eh?

Looks like more people are coming around to my assessment of the Dumbasses. Shock

Again consider the timing and the numbers John. It's going to be more difficult to do crap like this next year ... that's why they did it this year. I don't expect huge changes ... the homeland security funding was postponed. So there's an opportunity to protest Obama's amnesty ... by putting U.S. border guards out of a job S18

They'll still have to pound sand ... they just won't have to pound it as far.

And if nothing else it forces the Senate pricks to stick around for an extra week. Cold comfort is better than none at all

Boehner's base of support was thin and his relationship was strained even before his latest shit move. Many of his backers will be long gone in January. His departure as Speaker isn't a done deal ... but I wouldn't give it better than 50:50 ... he's got a lot of pissed off people on his own side of the aisle to contend with. You really think any of those 57 'rats are going to to come to his rescue??

Ok, I'm way, way off. Boehner's already been confirmed for a third term term as speaker in mid-November. Baffling, befuddling ... depressing ...
I can't imagine there isn't a great deal of buyers remorse.

What can I say ... you're right John ... we're all headed straight to hell.

Does anyone here actually think there is something profound to this story? And does it mean there are more people waiting for something better to come along?

Quote:The percentage is “the highest Gallup has measured since it began conducting interviews by telephone 25 years ago,” and it has “come more at the expense of the Republican Party than the Democratic Party” as more conservatives in recent years have viewed the GOP as being hardly different from establishment Democrats.

Gallup notes that “Republican identification fell to 25%,” which is the lowest in that time span. Many independents are “leaners,” though–16% of independents sided with Democrats and another 16% leaned Republican. Democrats, taking leaners into account, had a six-point party identification advantage over Republicans.

I wonder...................................

Bobby Jindal is speaking words of wisdom here in his criticism of his official party: GOP Leaders in Congress ‘Fearful’ of Repealing Obamacare

Quote:Speaking to reporters Saturday at the Club for Growth’s winter meeting in Florida, Jindal says Republicans in Washington are not acting on the key issue of the 2014 midterm elections.

Jindal says he thinks GOP leadership in Congress and other lawmakers are fearful of being criticized “for putting anything out there that could be attacked.” He asks why there hasn’t been a vote yet.

In other words, they are craven cowards. What else is new? S18

John,

Out of curiosity, why would you pick that over the game of chicken that Mitch McConnnell is playing over NSA metadata gathering? Frankly, I think it has the potential to be a much bigger embarrassment. If it turns out that way it could be absolute gold for Rand Paul.
