And here's an interesting thought.

The evidence just keeps piling up, that our system is loaded with rogue objects buzzing by our planet.  There is also The Taurids, caused by the comet Encke.  And there may be even bigger stuff just waiting to cause us untold trouble.  The big question is whether or not we are able to prevent another major extinction event in the future.

Here is an article by the novelist Douglas Preston in The New Yorker, who has included all this in several of his works.

The Day the Dinosaurs Died
A young paleontologist may have discovered a record of the most significant event in the history of life on Earth.

Its a very good read, and is written in the the same style of his novels.  Its certainly not boring.  S22

Well, they didn't all die.  They're still around in various shapes and sized.  And they still have feathers and fly.  Here's yet one more example of a dinosaur showing its dominance over certain mammals.

We have Gobs of these Canadian misfits here in NC, and I've seen some examples of this, with the folks running away.  But they don't screw with me at all.  If one attacked me, I'd grab it by its neck and 'crack the whip' on them.  All they have to do is just look at me and they know it.  Just like dogs and other animals.  They can look into someone's eyes and tell whether or not they can dominate.
