"Jackasses Being Jackasses" Thread

All this optimism and goodness out of you G? Wow!

The whole 'racist' thing has been WAY overplayed. It doesn't seem like it was even a mainstream thing until we got a president of color. THEN we started hearing about it more and more. Interesting that...

What, is that too much to ask? I don't assume the entire NAACP org is racist, even though there are obviously a few miscreants withing the group.

All one has to do is read some essays/articles on the Progressive movement, to see that they were anti-Black racist, and believed in eugenics. President Wilson was the first of the hateful Progressives to enter the White House. And I don't think he ever smiled.

Actually the Progressive movement was the precursor to the later Fascist movement, and fits in nicely within that category.

The NAACP is a racist org as far as I'm concerned. I wouldn't want such a movement in my country whose very name is a racist statement in disguise. Thankfully there is no group of people who see a need for that. Yet still, at the same time I don't imagine that every member of that org is a racist.

The tea party also has a large racist faction within it. To be dishonest about it as Lambert insists on doing is not helping his credibility. I really don't quite understand why Lambert or anyone else would adopt this kind of stance. More sensible people on this forum don't and have far more credibility than the Lamberts.

I have to wonder if it's a political ploy learned or it has been an attitude learned in childhood. The two Lamberts are remarkably similar in this respect.
If I can't read some people's posts and respond to their nonsense then is it fair to ask those people to stop reading my posts and not respond to them? And is it nice for some people to lie and say they don't read my posts? LOL

I posted a link in page one showing that the Tea Party are not racists.I see that you did not comment on it.

I didn't even bother reading it Tommy becaue it's foolishness to start with and I don't have to read it to know that.

Pay attention for fuk sake. I'm not saying the tea party is racist. I'm saying that the tea party has a racist faction and it appears to be quite large. Besides that, I don't have time to argue your foolishness any further. Some things are just non-starters Tommy.

... on Jackasses being Jackasses ...

That's exactly why I don't bother reading most of Jeff's posts - "it's foolishness to start with and I don't have to read it to know that."

Quote:The Kerry family has five houses, a jet called the “Flying Squirrel’’ and a legacy that includes paying to move a fire hydrant from in front of their Beacon Hill home to free up parking space.
Most people like the fire hydrant in front of their house in case of a fire. Kerry is not just ostentatious, he's dumb as Bullwinkle J. Moose. He just wishes he was Rocky.

Ya have to give the guy at least some credit, he married up in a big way and is living like royalty off a dead man's fortune ... nice work if you can get it ... Wink1

The hardest thing to swallow is his manner of speech which sounds almost exactly like Thurston Howell the Third ... the resemblance is uncanny ...

... it's not so much sounding like a Gilligan's Island character, it's hearing that particular Gilligan's Island lecturing about how YOU must be willing to sacrifice YOUR wealth for the "common good" that rubs raw ... like listening to Al Gore preach about how "other people" have to start limiting their carbon footprint and then watching his SUV motorcade driving him to the airport so he can fly off into the sunset in his own personal Gulfstream.

So O'Donnel smashes the establishment and Rangell gets renominated by the Dems. How stark is the difference in voter response?

It says a lot of nice things about Blacks too, unfortunately.

I just watched this little video, from the Blaze, and I am wondering if we are not several different universes, converging together fleetingly.

For instance, in my universe, the Obama administration is making the Bush administration(by no means thrifty) look like Scrooges compared to themselves. Yet, I am watching Obama talk about his frugal nature. Also, one of his appointees is talking about how we must continue to spend in order to get richer. In my universe, it is savings, ie investments, which add to wealth. That is just the very opposite of where I am from.

Am I seriously delusional here in thinking that I am peering in on another different universe? Is it me, who is crazy? Or is the world gone mad?

What is really going on here?

No, John, you are correct. You are viewing the Obama message being visualized through Beck's "Overton Window."

Bill, speaking of parallel universes, I wonder when the next "Hells Gate" work is due out? If I am going to have to endure parallels, then at least I want to be entertained.

That one has been out for some time Bill. I'm awaiting the third in the series. You haven't read the second one yet? I used "Hells Gate" to mean the entire series.

And speaking of Jackasses being Jackasses, get this:Stephen Colbert to Testify in Washington Today. Comedy Central now moving to DC.

I suppose that other stalwart of serious political commentary, one Jonathan Stuart Leibowitz, will be next? C&Gs should probably be happy, since Jackasses are having a hard time finding things of real value to try destroying.

John L Wrote:Comedy Central now moving to DC.

Which is curious because Comedy Central has long ceased to be funny while Washington D.C. has been full of amateur comedians for YEARS.

Everything coming full circle or life imitating art? I can't decide...
