"global warming" and "climate change": f - jt - 05-03-2009

The problem with global warming, some environmentalists believe, is “global warming.” The term turns people off, fostering images of shaggy-haired liberals, economic sacrifice and complex scientific disputes, according to extensive polling and focus group sessions conducted by ecoAmerica, a nonprofit environmental marketing and messaging firm in Washington.

What a laugh. The left is at it again, struggling to redefine words to achieve their political goals. This time they have been spotted in the open, by the NYT no less. Evidently "global warming" is not high on the plebeians mind these days, according to polls, and according to the article, is even a turn off.

That will be difficult for them to do. For one thing, most of them ARE dweebs and kooks. But most of all, they will not be able to relate to 'Joe 6pack', because they are naturally superiour, and smarter, to them.
