The EPA effort is the "back door" method that will preclude "cap and trade" by essentially doing the same thing.

Meanwhile, prices on virtually everything in the country will increase.

Good time for this, isn't it?
Be interesting to see if the malthusians dominate congress or not now.
Americans got what they wanted.

Now will they wise up and vote out the dumbasses?

Nah.
Two huge SCOTUS errors: allowing the EPA do determine if CO2 is dangerous and the emasculation of the eminent domain provision in the constitution. Weren't these both under the Alito court?

I believe the Kelo decision was before Alito.
I love how a president stopped being an executive to carry out the will of congress of act as a check, and started dominating the political scene.

Good job America for voting for this asshat. You are definately getting more and more stupid in your decisions.

Patrick, have you been taking in too much FireWater? Wink1

I post quite often when I have been drinking, Most of the time, none of you can tell a difference. Like now.

Pat on the other hand, would be highly amusing to see post while partaking of the spirits.
Tait, I always start with the premises you are drinking at night, first and foremost. You are young, bulletproof, and going to live forever, right? So, what else is new?

Well, I am doing good then eh? Jane is too dead right now and I am energetic all of a sudden.

I'm a creature of regimen, and one or two at night while relaxing with friends, on the internet or wrapped around a good book (one of Dave Ramsey's at the moment) is my way of unwinding. Besides, I think more around then anyhow.

I am old, not bulletproof (no one is, I know this), and probably hoping I'll croak at 65 or so, before I shit my pants all the time and can't remember where the remote it or what it is, etc.

Who are you anyways?

Just an old fart, who only hits a beer every now and then.

Sorry, memory going out and all....what is this place?

I am surprised that people allow Chief Executives to get away with these things. They are as bad the SCOTUS at times.

Hussien is definately determined to get his way on what he can, that if for certain.
My 2c on this:

Hussein prepared the EPA route back in March, when EPA started investigating CO2 and greenhouse "pollution". He chose going EPA now once it became clear that there is no way Congress would touch it; public opinion is turning against the AGW gang.
(Democrats are playing with political death over the health plans already, and they still need to pass the amnesty bill.)

The neat thing about EPA is any decision it makes will not immediately translate into the 2010 election outcome...people are too dumb to connect so many dots.
It goes farther back than March. When Gorbachev lost his power base in Moscow, he resurfaced at the U.N. and at the Presidio in California as the highest-ranking Environmentalist on the planet. I remember reading he traded up to become the third most powerful man on Earth. He turned in his evil-empite credentials for the rapt approval of the world for leaving the USSR; He has more Green medals now than he ever had military ones back at the Politburo.

Perhaps CO2, [per se, is fairly new as the fulcrum to lever against, but the formula is old. The strategy is two-headed now to combat this power grab. We must fight the CO2-specific moves - but moreover, stop the environmental lobby from assuming power it does not have.

My hope had been that a reconstituted Supreme Court might address unconstitutional laws and force Greens out, but we may have to suffer through another 70 years before that time comes around again.
I was talking about EPA specifically, otherwise it goes back further than Gorbachev.... the accursed CRU was set up by Maggie
John,

I probably do drink too much of the firewater, but, that post wasn't done then.

I can understand what I meant,I guess my awesome English skills are lost on you???

I just was musing would the congress sit still and allow Obama to act like this?

Well, if Congress does, and the public is not happy with the results, Congress will be able to say "don't blame me", could they not?
Who,

Correct and that would likely be their thought process as opposed to doing what their proper roles are.
