I believe it is time for the U.S. to leave NATO. Our membership in this organization simply obligates us to defend those who increasingly cannot defend themselves and who increasingly are hostile to the America, it's citzens, values and interests.

In addition, leaving NATO offers the promise of watching the French Military in action on CNN at some point in the future.

Bad idea. While I would leave the UN in a New York Minute, not NATO. Sorry to disagree with you there.
Leave NATO and the UN.
They are both worthless appeasement organizations. Not to mention you have the corruption factor.

So.... What should replace UN and NATO? And how would you keep corruption from that?

Don't tell me there is no corruption in the US administration. Maybe to a lesser degree than within UN, but it exists.

We don't need any replacements. The world functions the same with the UN and NATO as it did without it. The only difference now is you have "ambassadors" who sit in a big room and lie to all of the other ambassadors about how their country isn't making nukes. Or how it "isn't" killing its citizens because of religious reasons, cultural reasons, etc. We've still had plenty of wars even though these two "peace keeping" organizations have been in power.
These are worthless organizations and a waste of money.

If you really want you can still make alliances. They were made easily during WWI and WWII. Of course, our past president Washington would advise against that. And I'm sure he would advise against NATO and the UN. They go against everything he said in his farewell address.
