Perhaps the resistance in Lebanon is not Islamic, but nationalistic.
The New York Times has an article titled "Ground to a Halt" by Robert A. Pape, a professor of political science at the University of Chicago.

Excerpt from that article
Quote:In writing my book on suicide attackers, I had researchers scour Lebanese sources to collect martyr videos, pictures and testimonials and the biographies of the Hezbollah bombers. Of the 41, we identified the names, birth places and other personal data for 38. Shockingly, only eight were Islamic fundamentalists. Twenty-seven were from leftist political groups like the Lebanese Communist Party and the Arab Socialist Union. Three were Christians, including a female high-school teacher with a college degree. All were born in Lebanon.
What these suicide attackers — and their heirs today — shared was not a religious or political ideology but simply a commitment to resisting a foreign occupation. Nearly two decades of Israeli military presence did not root out Hezbollah. The only thing that has proven to end suicide attacks, in Lebanon and elsewhere, is withdrawal by the occupying force.

I think it's Islamic myself, there are tons of non Islamic groups to join. Amal is a Shiite oriented group started up years ago, without the terror angle.
Plus, listen to Nasrallah,he speaks Islam, just like the Barbary Pirates spoke to Americans in 1803. It's their right to do this as they are followers of allah and others aren't.
You should read more about the culture you were raised in instead of trying to make excuses for it. The Barbary pirates explained to our consul in 1803 that allah gave them the right to murder and steal Americans and our material.

It sounded like Osama or Nasrallah today.

There's a reason lots of Muslims flee Islamic states and it's NOT because the culture provides superior society.
First of all true Moslems won't accept suicide as an act of Moslem, and will believe that no matter what circumstance for committing suicide is, the person committing suicide will go to hell.

As far as your comments about Shite, it contains as much fact as your other comments

Shia and Shite are the same Moslem sect.

About Amal from Wikipedia
Quote:Amal movement (Arabic: abbreviation of أفواج المقاومة اللبنانية transliterated: Afwaj Al-mukawma l-Lubnaniyya, or just حركة أمل; transliterated:Harakat Amal= "Amal" movement) is short for the Lebanese Resistance Detachments.[1] Amal became one of the most important Shi'ite Muslim militias during the Lebanese Civil War. Amal grew strong through its close ties with the Islamic regime of Iran, and the 300,000 Shi'i internal refugees from southern Lebanon after the Israeli bombings in the early 1980s. At its greatest the militia had 14,000 troops. Amal is also an Arabic noun, meaning "hope."

Amal's historical objectives are to achieve greater respect for Lebanon's Shi'ite population and to get a larger percentage of resources allocated to the Shi'ite-dominated southern part of the country.

Amal fought a long campaign against Palestinian refugees in the Lebanese Civil War called the War of the Camps. After the War of the Camps, Amal fought a bloody battle against its fellow Shi'a group Hezbollah for Beirut. This battle ended with massive Syrian intervention.
Kamil,

I doubt the Muslims committing suicide daily and those murdering civilians on purpose accept YOUR view of what allah thinks and neither do I. The religion is easily used to convince impressionable youngsters murder and suicide in a given context is GOOD.

Your Amal input indicates they fought other Muslim terror groups, that's fine with me,I wish they'd all kill each other off. This way,we wouldn't be threatened by the jackals.
Today almost all the followers of Amal have joined Hizbullah.
What's the significance of that? More people that need killing by either the US or Israel. Muslim fascists are going to have to be killed as are those who shelter them and IMO,this means a whole lot of Muslims must be killed in the next phase of the GWOT when all non Muslims conclude Muslim fanatics aren't open to light discipline or reason just as the 1930s European fascists were not.
When Christian Nazis killed millions of Jews in the 1930s and 1940s nobody talked about killing all Christians who supported them.

Jews throughout history has been harmed by Christians much more than by Moslems.
Kamil,

Christians have mistreated Jews more because the Jews mostly lived in Europe MIGHT just be the reason why.

It's true that Christians in Europe, when they still existed, historically have
hated Jews, but this is no cover for what Islam teaches about Jews. It is vile and unless you are entirely ignorant, you know that fact. Whereas the Bible teaches we who believe that Jesus of Nazareth is The Son of God to love not only our own,but all mankind,to include the forlorn Jew.

There is nothing in Biblical teaching that allows for me to do anything but "bless" Jews, regardless of whether they are fellow Christians or not,but the Koran teaches Muslims to hold hostility towards Jews.
Thus,as always, the good Christian is good to Jews, the good Muslim hates Jews and considers them at best as slave material and at worst as deserving of murder.

"Christian Nazis"? How about pagan Nazis ? Study up instead of silly emotional reaction because we here see the religion you were raised in as a bloodthirsty lunacy ruling .

Read what Hitler's closest associates said about his religious views and note the association these Nazis had intellectually with the islamic religion

**** Joseph Goebbels, for example, notes in a diary entry in 1939 "The Führer is deeply religious, but deeply anti-Christian. He regards Christianity as a symptom of decay." Albert Speer reports a similar statement “You see, it’s been our misfortune to have the wrong religion. Why didn’t we have the religion of the Japanese, who regard sacrifice for the Fatherland as the highest good? The Mohammedan religion too would have been much more compatible to us than Christianity. Why did it have to be Christianity with its meekness and flabbiness?"****

For legitimacy sake, you may want to read Speer's autobiography,I have.

The only error they made here was in seeing all Christians as subjective and not understanding the objective Christian, properly taught in the Scriptures . Such an objective Christian is currently killing the islamic enemy across the globe as Abraham, the father of his faith did thousands of years ago . Abraham, like today's objective believer, was a determined soldier to protect the innocent, unlike the muslim thugs your religion is reproducing like flies today.
