I experienced moments ago what I thought was de ja vu except I had done exactly what I just did before. I believe its linked to the brain wanting to get unfinished business out of the way so it reminds you you've experienced this before. I experienced the normal portion the article outlines. It seems when there is really no prior experience to ponder on yet the brain does thats when it is a disorder. Thankfully now I know there's nothing wrong with me I just have a good memory as I verified my experience with someone else.

Its scary though cause you can put fake memories in the heads of people. You can screw with their heads. Imagine what we could do with this in warfare.
