Sun comes up and the Earth warms. Sun goes down and the Earth cools. A volcano erupts and puts more global warming crap into the air that humans could create in several lifetimes, Greta Thunberg blames you. I laugh because I don’t care.

I don't really care all that much either. Spiteful
I care... but more because of the disinformation and the machinery that produces it. The Climate issue is easily understood for what it is, but it is only one aspect of the broader disinformation package that is spewed out.

I know Bill, like you we do care. However, eventually one has to realize that a sizable portion of the citizenry are ruled by emotions, and until they intellectually grow up, they aren't going to change. All we can do is simply present the sensible alternative, and be there for them whenever they finally outgrow their intellectual immaturity.

Its all one can do short of becoming dictatorial, which is the opposite of our principles.
I still agree - but the emotionalim is just a symptom, not the cause. They believe what the school systems inculcated in their stunted minds, and is reinforced by peers and complicit media. For us, it seems like a losing battle. because they have been purposefully educated to not use their minds as best they should. (Read how Dewey's brags about how he wants to make them all good little followers.

John Dewey in "Democracy and Education" 1916 Wrote:"For purposes of simplification, we've spoken as if the education of the immature which fills them with the spirit of the social group to which they belong. We're sort of catching up with the child, with the aptitudes and resources of the adult group.

(The pupil learns symbols without the key to their meanings. He acquires a technical body of information, without an ability to trace its connections with the objects and operations with which he's familiar. Often he just learns a peculiar vocabulary.)

In static society [In you're not embracing Progressivism, then you're a static, backward, and in fact regressive society.] In static societies, in societies that make the maintenance of established customs their measure of value, the conception applies in the main, but not in progressive communities. They endeavor to shape the experiences of the young, so instead of reproducing current habits, better habits will be formed, and thus the future adult society be an improvement on their own.

Men have long had some intimation of the extent to which education can be consciously used to eliminate obvious social evils, to starting the young on paths which shall not produce these ills, and some extent education may be made an instrument of realizing the better hopes of men. But we were far from realizing the potential efficacy of education as a constructive agency for improving society, for realizing it represents not only an element of children and youth, but also the future society, of which they will be the constituents."

The purpose of education is to indoctrinate kids.
Seems simple to me, I own guns with ammo. Dirt people only own their thoughts of dirt. My bullets win if push comes to shove.
Interesting. Let's think this through. If you have a gun with 99 bullets, and there are one hundred dirt people who want to take it away, then the first one that gets shot ought to cause all the others to run away. Logically, if they kep coming and you use up all the bullets, then the ones who are left might be able to get to your gun and take it away. Realistically, what happens is that the remaining hypocrites will appeal to police with guns to outnumber your one gun and still take it away. We always walk a tightrope trying to do what is right while supporting our causes. The problem is the system has been rigged for far too long for instant fixes. We need to dig down and attack the underlying things that unbalance what is right. Let's get rid of gun-free zones first.

Ok, but where is the WEATHER that you were supposed to talk about?
Global Warming really is a "Pile Of" you know what.  And here is yet one more great example.

Quote:What cold lizards in Miami can tell us about climate change resilience

It was raining iguanas on a sunny morning.

Biologist James Stroud‘s phone started buzzing early on Jan. 22. A friend who was bicycling to work past the white sands and palm tree edges of Key Biscayne, an island town south of Miami, sent Stroud a picture of a 2-foot long lizard splayed out on its back. With its feet in the air, the iguana took up most of the sidewalk.

The previous night was south Florida’s coldest in 10 years, at just under 40 degrees Fahrenheit. While most people reached for an extra blanket or a pair of socks, Stroud — a postdoctoral research associate in Arts & Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis — frantically texted a collaborator:

“Today’s the day to drop everything, go catch some lizards.”

When temperatures go below a critical limit, sleeping lizards lose their grip and fall out of trees. From previous research, Stroud and his colleagues had learned that different types of lizards in Miami can tolerate different low temperatures, ranging from about 46 to 52 degrees Fahrenheit, before they are stunned by cold. This cold snap provided a unique opportunity to understand how they are affected by extreme climate events.

But when the researchers collected the scaled survivors of that coldest night, they discovered that the lizard community responded in an unexpected way: all of them could tolerate cold temperatures down to about 42 degrees Fahrenheit, regardless of their species’ previous ability to withstand cold. The findings are reported Oct. 21 in the journal Biology Letters.
Quote:Flow of hot rocks rising from the Earth's core beneath central Greenland is melting the ice from below and contributing to sea-level rise, study finds

Melting of ice in central Greenland is being accelerated by the heat of molten rocks rising from the core–mantle boundary, adding to sea-level rise, a study has found.
Researchers from Japan mapped out the extent and branches of the so-called 'Greenland plume' — the rising flow of molten rock ascending beneath the island.
Geothermal activity is abundant in the North Atlantic region. Iceland and the Norwegian island of Jan Mayen have active volcanoes with their own mantle plumes.
Svalbard — a Norwegian archipelago in the Arctic Ocean — is meanwhile an area of  geothermal activity.
Until now, however, the origin of these activities and their interconnectedness had been poorly understood.

The left will still blame it on glabal warming.
Global Warming is convenient, isn't it?

In reality, these sort of things always seem to occur primarily during a Grand Solar Minimum.  In these cases, there seem to be two things involved.  One, the orbit of the earth, in relation to the sun, is at it furtherest point.  And Two, the Jovian planets, Jupiter and Saturn, seem to be on exactly at the other side of the earth.

This will tend to create a sort of  'tug of war' between the sun and the two Jovians, with the earth feeling the effects.  Stuck plates will suddenly slip from the pressure, causing an awful lot of ignious pressure from under the crust.  More vulcanism, and earthquaked as the planet tries to relieve pent up pressure.
It is just Science all. Science is the new term for beating down those that don’t agree, right?

No, it is the "Misuse" of science, in order to beat down those who don't agree.
