EXCERPT:

An important document being censored by the US press. I got this off the BNP web site.

Go there and read the full letter that is apparently real as CNN mentioned it HERE,

"The Syrian parliament has urged the U.S. House not to support the proposed U.S. military action, the country's state news agency, SANA, said Friday.

In a letter addressed to U.S. House Speaker John Boehner, his Syrian counterpart, Jihad al-Laham, called upon the House to communicate through civilized dialogue, not blood and fire, the news agency said."

It appears that Obama wants to FORCE a war in the region.
He wants what Israel wants, chaos in the region. Makes good sense if you're a 100% immoral and wouldn't mind seeing a holocaust as long as it ain't you.

It's a perfect example of my rant in the other thread. Netanyahu & Obama probably would get physically ill if they saw the executions by the terrorist types or persecution of the Syrian minorities, but, as the leader of a state, they do what needs to be done even if it meant 50 trillion decomposed cadavers.

It's exceptionally rare when an agent of a state acts with a conscience. Of course Obama & Netanyahu want war, it will advance the cause of the US&Israel to see chaos in Syria. IF Assad were to join our empire, we'd side with him quicker than Grant took Richmond, too.
I'm not at all sure Netanyahu wants war.

The Israelis attitude on the forum i read is pretty uniform: it is wonderful to see our enemies killing each other, but it is not our fight.

(And please do not make any additional Syrian threads!).

I created this thread because it needs its own thread tag line to get more attention. If you use a 500+ post thread with this article it will quickly vanish from sight as soon as a new comment show up.

This is a long running mistake in this forum where so many viable articles gets swallowed up in a massive thread that lacks a specific title for specific articles to find.

I doubt many will scroll through hundreds of comments in a 1+ year old thread to find this article where a specific thread of its own would make this very important article easy to find quickly.
MV,

I think Israel the state wants the US to conduct activity against Assad like Obama does. Not to cause a jihadi win, just enough to keep the chaotic situation chaotic. It's evil, IMO, but, both want it. Not the people, the state, like here.

I see Israel just like I do the USA. Traditionally you would think chaos would be bad on their border, but, chaos also serves to keep potential deadly enemy defenseless. It's heartless statecraft at it's best.

No more or less benevolent or virtuous than Russia entering all the regions it did to "protect her borders" under Stalin. Same thought process. We're just smarter at murder INC than the Germans or Russki have been is all. Plus, we're good at pr.
I think the Israelis are smart enough to want the chaotic situation continue for as long as possible. Their 2nd best option is Assad's survival. US interference may lead to rebels win which is the worst outcome.

In fact, United Sodomists already caused damage... Assad pulled back some of his forces, and as the result we have places like Maaloula overrun. Rejoice: Obama-backed rebels dismember live Christian girl.

Quote: Plus, we're good at pr.

I think it is "were". The latest Pr is so low quality that nearly everyone can see through it. We are now moving toward the US being considered generally untrustworthy.
I don't know, I happened to watch some news casts in the evening and if I wasn't an avid reader, I'd assume Assad was the latest "HITLER" and the US had to act or be part of the new appeasment of evil. Just like Ron sees it.

The USA has a Madison Avenue aspect to our pr.

The reason Obama is not having the success that Clinton did on Kosovo is the maturation of the net. We can see jihadi executions, dead cadavers of the good guys now. Heck, one US Senator said Obama wanted to use the US AF as al qaeda's air wing, I love it!

I predict he barely gets a house win by a vote or 2 and throws his cruise missiles that way.

The people are slowly waking up to what the USA has become when a senator is that accurate and honest about it.

Tom, this a problem more of 'style', rather than substance. In your world, you would rather have hundreds, perhaps thousands of threads, holding a few posts, and filling up the forum. Granted, it does make a forum look more successful, and busy. But it is superficial.

I would prefer to keep things a bit more orderly if possible. Either way, things can get a bit congested. But that is what a detailed search is all about. If you cannot find what you want, you can always perform a search. But attempting to wade through pages and pages, filled with ever numerous, and trivial threads is far more......well, trivial and less orderly. Further, it requires a bit more effort to locate and then post on an appropriate thread.

Naturally, it is far easier to just push a button and create a new thread, with your name on it. No matter if the topic presented is mirrored here, there, and on other locations. Talk about difficulty making a search..................

But I appreciate your comment. S5
Basically, additional small threads tend to get lost... thus I'm reluctant to reply to them or post links on them, it feels like throwing things down the drain.

Because of the coalition nature of the Israeli government and the importance of the issue for them I suspect the difference between their government and people is much smaller.

Some poll data here -- it seems they want US (and/or EU) to attack Syria but 77% oppose an Israeli attack... this latter is like nearly everywhere.

JL the forum will be just as "full" your way but far less organized. It also make your forum less search friendly from OUTSIDE the forum since search engines work better with TITLED threads than single postings. That is why it is important to use actual article titles as a thread starter.

Frankly JL your method is unfriendly to guests and irregular members who can't find a THREAD of a certain article because it is buried in a massive thread as a comment which is not easy to find.

Take a look at this GOOGLE link showing SteveGoddard #3 on the list the very link I used for here.Heck all I did was type this in the google box Syrian Parliament Letter To The US House Of Representatives the results were only news articles or blog THREADS no comments are shown.

Another example of what a PING BACK can do as shown here which is from the main google link I gave you above,

http://usapartisan.com/2013/09/08/syrian...entatives/

See that Stevegoddard is listed as the source which helps increase traffic?

But when you bury articles inside of a running comment thread they don't show on google well because Articles and blog articles get the priority and fill up the first pages.

Thus your forum never show up on early google pages.

This is one main reason why I am considering a hybrid set up where I use the blog software for the articles and the forum for the comments.

MV,

Yea, I meant Netanyahu wants us to kill Syrians, not do it via the IDF. We're everyone's MURDER INC.
oh that... sure... but: Israelis have no reasons to feel love for Assad. On the photo below

I assume you recognize one of the chaps, the other one is Sami Kuntar.

Now, there is a druggie living across the street from me.... he says that he got addicted to Agent Orange in Vietnam and has to have stronger and stronger stuff.... not pleasant.... will I have any objections to Obama sending a drone to off him? -- no, of course. (not that this will happen).

.....

Anyway, let's keep in mind that Assad is not a good person either.... it is just that US leaders are worse.
I think Russia's offer to destroy all the chemical stockpiles in Syria is a very reasonable alternative to bombing of Syria.

From BBC
Quote:Russia has asked Syria to put its chemical weapons stockpiles under international control and then have them destroyed, in an attempt to avoid US military strikes.

Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said the offer was made during talks with his Syrian counterpart, Walid Muallem.

Mr Muallem said he welcomed the initiative.
In a way, its a stroke of genius. Syria gets to 'officially' turn over everything to the UN authorities, knowing that knowledge is what really counts. They can always produce more Tabun and Sarin at their leisure in the future. Russia gets to land a Huge chunk of feces into the eye of The Boy, and everyone will know it. And the rebels will not be able to use chemical weapons upon pain of having the entire world KNOW it originated from them.

Its a Huge Russian Win-Win from the way I view it. I could be missing something, but will have to wait for McDoofus to point out my intellectual shortcomings. S13S6
The idea of having russians to go to Syria and sieze Assad's chemical weapons is utterly ridiculous.

Especialy since everybody knows it's not a war about WMD.

The poeple of america is slowly waking up to the fact that WMD talks are most often ballooney.

As I understood, Israelis want Obama to bomb Syria because it's the first step toward bombing Iran.

And it makes sens. Iran can be more easily attacked if Syria, if not yet friendly state, is in total chaos and unable to stop airplanes flying over its territory or Iraq.

Destroying Assad's air force, ground-to-air missiles, radars and all modern installations with the pretext that they are used to drop gas on the populations, will free the airspace to Iran.

It will also weaken Hezbollah, the major retaliatory treath in case Iran is attacked. Hezbollah is helping Assad militarily, but it also wastes resources doing so.
With the sunnis pressing them on the North, Hezbollah will find it hard to confront Israel on the South.

Hezbollah's involvement in the war also shows how Syria is important for Iran.

IMO after Assad is bombed, it will be Iran's turn.
Fred, who said anything about "sieze Assad's chemical weapons"? Are you sure you are reading this correctly? This is a voluntary(wink, wink) move on Assad's part. And Russia is going to be willing to help take them off of Syria's hands(wink, wink). S13
(GROAN) now we discuss this proposal on two threads..... just lock this one plz
MV,

No naivete here on any leaders, but, I prefer Assad to Al Nusra and so do all the Syrian minorities and my guess is lots of Sunnis. Plus, it isn't our right to determine who rules foreign states that don't threaten us, IMO.

Why don't I provide you with Tommy's home address, and you pay him a visit. Is that alright? S13
