Just kidding. S22
That "SCHOOL" paint job was done by hand. Normally either cardboard cut-out stencils are used, or vinyl letters are flash heated and melted onto the pavement. Sometimes on the cheap, cut-out templates use the same one for the "C" and for the "O", with the opening of the "C" holding the center oblong in place - and the open side of the "O" is then filled-in by hand. Other times, the center block is held in place by thin strips, but the horizontal elements are usually thicker than the vertical elements because of the viewing perspective.

The color looks close to OSHA-yellow, but it isn't centered on the road very well, and "SCHOOL" is normally painted in white.

On an infrastructure project around a school, all signage must be done according to code. A poor GC or CM may be sloppy and forget to include such roadwork, and may try to get by on the sly, but signage is expensive and must be inspected by the city and county.

In Las Vegas, the road painting is a specialty category that uses enameled steel and ceramic instead of paint that melts off. There were no white lines, instead, they used what we called braille buttons, round ceramic buttons that are embedded in the roads that you can feel as you drive over them.

Think of all the killers that must be running loose in Canada. The Mounties must be doing a really poor job. Not to mention Pakistan and India. Looks like in North Korea, the criminals are running the country.
Think of all the people put in prison for minor violations within a complicated and ruinous legal system, which is supported by an increasing police state.

Yep, that is America.

The only place you can buy an AR15 and walk out of the store with it same day, and also get felony time for having a small amount of pot. Or get accused of a crime, and face risk of serious punishment, that you take the lesser punishment just so you know what is coming to you. And, no doubt, if you go to trial, you may be condemned by the average citizen, which is a fucking moron.

It really doesn't help that we have places like Atlanta and other havens of *diversity*.

Canada! Africa is full of thieves and it appears very few of them are in jail.
Very few other countries can afford a large or effective prison system. Some of them just accept a low roar of crime and corruption. However, Western Europe makes it clear that "something is different" in the USA. The Brits just let them go and crime has soared there. It would be interesting to read about the differences in other WEu countries and the US.
jt, the problem in the US is the law which allows sentences for small offences to pile into huge prison terms.
You can get a near life sentence for stealing a bike if you happen to have a gun with, fired it in the air, escaped from police, hit an old person while running, crossed the street when the trafic light was red etc...

I can't translate it for sure but it reads like "The annual summer tire ride".

Fred, I'm just not getting this. Are they laughing at the conical towers, or are they laughing at all the steam being generating and escaping? Help me out here. S11

Oh, and why are their teeth shaped like that? That makes no sense........to me anyway.

Which brings me to this.............................

Isn't it obvious? They are under the misapprehension that we are Terra-forming our planet and trying to make clouds in a backward way. They laugh at our inefficient cloud-making machines.

Or maybe they think the steam is coming from giant washing-machines and they have no clothes?
JohnL, nuts must hae other shapes on their planet. Hence their weird teeth.

anyway...

HOW MANY FACES DO YOU SEE?
I count nine.
Ten

That is not true Fred. Form always tends to follow function, and teeth like that would be subject to chipping and cracking along the edges. Also, the points would certainly be in the center of the teeth and fall away as they approached the outside edge.

But you still haven't answered my other point about the stacks and the steam. Are they laughing at the steam, or the shape of the stacks? I'm still curious as to what you think here.
Interesting: I count eleven there. Going from top to bottom, left to right..........................

1. The Ghandi fellow at the top.
2. below Ghandi is the middle aged fellow with the huge drooping mustache and the rimless cap.
3. to his right is the balding fellow with the beard and the Jewish nose.
4. Below him is the pudgy fellow with the glasses, looking upward. Looks like a Karl Rove character.
5. Going down to the center left, is the sailor fellow, wearing the cunt cap.
6. Below him is another fellow, wearing a similar cap, facing upward. Looks like the Nehru fellow.
7. On the right side of the tree is the Joseph Stalin fellow, looking downward and outward.
8. Looking up at him is elderly grandmother, wearing glasses.
9. And the most questionable one is the figure occupying what appears to be her hair bonnet. It looks like a grumpy little child, looking upward and definitely unhappy with things. Looks like a young Winston Churchill.
10-11. The two people at the bottom of the tree.

I may have missed one or two more..................................
I just see ten.
