A Hamburg judge has filed a criminal complaint against Chancellor Angela Merkel for "endorsing a crime" after she stated she was "glad" that Osama bin Laden was killed by US forces. Meanwhile a new poll reveals that a majority of Germans do not see the terrorist's death as a reason to celebrate.

The wheels of justice grind exceedingly fine.

Or,

What is the judge's party affiliation?
WB, I'm at loss with the number of poeple who would have wished OBL to stay alive.
This is simply uncomprehensible. My brain is uncapable of reconstructing the logic behind this kind of reaction.

Moreover:
Christof Heyns, U.N. special rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions Wrote:in certain exceptional cases, deadly force may be used in "operations against terrorists."

Well, if Osama Bin Laden is not an exceptional case then I don't know how to call it.
I suspect a good deal of this is just anti-US feelings. It wouldn't matter the why-fors, what-ifs, or whereas to it all.
Hahahaha, Europe is one of the most retarded places in spite of it being the birthplace of so many wonderful things. I give you guys 20yrs at this rate, tops.
What is so entertaining is how otherwise sensible people actually come to believe that there really is a thing such as a Free Lunch, or getting something for nothing. And since Euroland is jam-up with Utopianist Leftists, they seem to fall for this hook, line, and sinker. The bigger the Welfare State, the faster the train will run off the rails, with the socialist Greeks being first over the cliff. LOL!!

And now they are talking about leaving the EU because they are faced with a choice of having to confront reality, or continue trying to get almost nothing for nothing. I'd just love to see them skip out on their creditors on the mainland. Wouldn't that be Rich!? LOL!!

It is going to be fun to see if there are any Euro-Socialist Never-Never-Lands that don't have to make the tough choices. I suspect they all will have to throttle back drastically.

And finally there will be the good old U S of A. That is going to be the big draw before this is all over and done with. Just imagine Socialism, wedded with "yes we can spend our way into prosperity" Keynesian quasi-economics, trying to juggle their orthodoxy with reality. I'm going to laugh all the way to the poor house. S6
Poor house? I won't be poor living the early 20th century agrarian lifestyle.

They won't throttle back, John, nothing short of utter and total collapse can fix that. It's one thing to deal with a spoiled child, but when they number in the hundreds of millons?!
Sort of like a mob approaching a huge ravine? The ones in front see it and attempt to stop. But the ones behind them just keep pushing until everyone falls into the abyss?

I can see that happening. S5

Ain't Collectivism wonderful? BTY, where is Gommi when we really need him?
Frankly, yea, I would love to see them driven over a cliff. People keep looking at me funny for wishing the collapse, but I am telling you it would kill off a lot of these fools and morons out of step with reality living in a candy land of sorts. Then we could move forward and do things as they should be done.

Not so much at the moment.
the question of the poll was "was it ok that bin laden has been killed, or would you have prefered him arrested, and court-martialed?" that's not quite the same like "a majority of Germans do not see the terrorist's death as a reason to celebrate." if i'm not mistaken, the right-wing here questions the legality of the killing.
I'd like to point out that on another thread, JohnL and Palladin are also questioning the legality of the killing of OBL .

Somebody a few days ago in the US said (about the deficit) "It's time to lock our elbows and jump off the window together". All the benefits of the Reagan's years volatilized in the first weeks of Obama's presidency. LOL. Can't resist rolling on the floor laughing.

Fred,

I question the legality only from the view Obama should not be able to order a disarmed kill if Tait can't. I don't have constitutional or moral questions with the kill expressed by others.

Palladin, I don't see the corelation between Obama on one side and Tait on the other side.
Obama doesn't order to kill a unarmed man. For ten years there were maybe 200 poeple, I mean poeple influent in decision making and execution who worked on the best way to deal with bin Laden. The largely understood consensus, expressed by W, was that it'd be better to have him dead than alive no matter in which condition.
All these years it was made abudantly clear.

So as Tait said, why didn't they debated this BS right after 911 instead of now?

Obama, probably had wanted to shot down OBL like many americans naturaly would, the next day after 911. But the Navy Seal Team 6 didn't act on Obama's sudden desire for a spilling blood. It was a long process involving two opposite administration, two president with oposite personalities, hundreds if not thousands CIA, intelligence, hit squads, pilots, computer experts, etc who participate in the final fire of the two bullets which eventualy sent OBL to the 72 virgin paradise.

I don't think there was an order to kill him while he was disarmed, adding that if he has a gun in his hand dn't kill him because it's not funny anymore.
No. IMO the fact that he was unarmed was highly unexpected. The Seals fired as soon as they saw him, no matter what. That bin Laden didn't have even an AK47 in his hand when he passed is surprise for everyone.
It's hardly believable.
Interesting. Note that almost all US politicians wear black suits. Perhaps almost all ruling elites do.

The witch rule should be extended to politicians. Make them all wear pink.
