Oh yea, since 1994 and the end of the previous SA gov't, the police are extremely corrupt. Especially with integration of the former Marxist/Socialist terrorism groups into that and the military.

Quote:"Flaming Tampon" might sound like the next indie rock sensation, but not in this case.

Pennsylvania State Police say Patricia Deshong, 25, and Quentin Deshong, 22, who were arrested Jan. 7 in in Metal Township, Penn., after allegedly attempting to blow up a vehicle outside of a bar using flaming feminine hygiene products, according to documents obtained by The Smoking Gun.

Assuming the tampons were Patricia's,

I hope she removed them first.

This is just priceless, and exactly what they deserve for not minding their own business and hassling other people.

Good luck with your charges, Steven Hindi, you asshole. S3

God, I hate animal rights people, and I donate to the local pound all the time.

The strange case of ... Lawyers v. Law Schools.

When in trouble, when in doubt .... hire a lawyer ... scream and shout!

Ah, sweet irony.
Jefferson: I place economy among the first and important virtues, and public debt as the greatest of dangers. To preserve our independence, we must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt. We must make our choice between economy and liberty, or profusion and servitude. If we can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of caring for them, they will be happy.

Quote:FLORENCE, S.C. (AP) — Florence police say a 9-year-old girl stabbed her grandmother after they argued about whether she could watch television.

Investigators said the girl stabbed her 64-year-old grandmother in the back with a kitchen knife as she read the newspaper around 2 a.m. Thursday. The woman called paramedics, while the girl called her mother.

Authorities say the grandmother was treated and released from the hospital, while the Department of Social Services placed the child in the custody of another relative.

Hopefully the PD took turns beating the piss out of this girl on the way to dumping her off with more relatives.

Ahh, Florence, S.C. I pass by there every time I go home. At least the girl has sense enough to not play in the interstate.

This is an interesting bit if information to keep in mind: Man sentenced after accidentally shooting woman's mohawk he mistook for bird. I know, this sounds like something straight out of a Mr. McGoo cartoon, but with everything that goes on in the world, this is entirely believable.

Given how it turned out, that is hilarious.

But he was a prior felon?

What a strange story: Give a man a fish, he’ll eat for a day; teach a man to picket for more fish, he’ll make the local news. Here the guy was a regular customer, and the owner let him run an open account there. And then he did all this? Interesting.

I wonder if an over abundance of alcohol was part of the problem?

I enjoyed the comment under the story: "There’s no question who’s in the right here. This gentleman paid for all the fish he could eat, and clearly he’s nowhere near being done eating fish. Do the right thing, Chuck’s Place."

Didn't the commenter listen to the report when the restaurant said they ran out of fish and offered alternate take home of a more expensive fish?

BTW, the fish the man was given was all the fish he could eat. You can't eat what is not there. Perhaps the man thought he was at the Sermon on the Mount - just a few loaves short of a full basket.

If you are going to drink, sometimes it is best not to do attempt certain things: things such as weight lifting.

And now in the "Real Life Is Stranger Than Fiction" category there is this: Man Arrested for OWI with Zebra, Parrot in Front Seat of Truck. Can you believe this? This is like something out of a Fantasy novel. LOL!

How do you charge a person with Operating while Intoxicated when he is not driving? I think the defense that he had a sober associate who was going to drive is pretty good.

You may be right Bill. From what I can discern, nobody saw him actually driving anyway. And just because someone else drove the truck back home says that it was still possibly as he contended.

As if there are not enough useless inventions out there, there is this one..............
Quote:The Shutup Gun. . . . When you aim the SpeechJammer at someone, it records that person’s voice and plays it back to him with a delay of a few hundred milliseconds. This seems to gum up the brain’s cognitive processes — a phenomenon known as delayed auditory feedback — and can painlessly render the person unable to speak. Kazutaka Kurihara, one of the SpeechJammer’s creators, sees it as a tool to prevent loudmouths from overtaking meetings and public forums, and he’d like to miniaturize his invention so that it can be built into cellphones. “It’s different from conventional weapons such as samurai swords,” Kurihara says. “We hope it will build a more peaceful world.”

A more peaceful world? Who's kidding whom here? Try using the "shutup" gun around someone, and chances are you will wind up with a fist in the face. Or try it on your cell phone and watch yourself lose friends quicker than you can say 'flash'.

Who in hell ever came up with this as a good idea? ............Oh, that's right, the NYTimes(number 14). Now I am starting to see things clearly.

And of course the next one down, contributed by the same genius, Catherine Rampell, has another brilliant innovation about increasing productivity and soothe the altruistic gene.

Quote:Researchers at Wharton, Yale and Harvard have figured out how to make employees feel less pressed for time: force them to help others. According to a recent study, giving workers menial tasks or, surprisingly, longer breaks actually leads them to believe that they have less time, while having them write to a sick child, for instance, makes them feel more in control and “willing to commit to future engagements despite their busy schedules.” The idea is that completing an altruistic task increases your sense of productivity, which in turn boosts your confidence about finishing everything else you need to do.

And note the "make them feel" phrase. Only a Collectivist Jackass would find forcing people to do things a productive and worthwhile endeavour. Who in the hell are the parents of these people?

Holy Cow!, this just discovered: Sheryl Crow Diagnosed With Benign Brain Tumor. Somehow, I always thought she had a brain tumor, or something along that order. Anybody believing that only one sheet of toilet paper necessary to wiping the 'bottom', has to have something wrong with their brain.

Her being a Lefty didn't help my suspicions either.
