Geology Thread

In this thread I will accumulate any movies and great articles that pertain to geology. The number of video programs originating from the Science and History Channels are considerable.

Up first is a movie I saw on the History Channel. it is a 2008 program, and believe it or not, it does not talk about global warming. In fact, in the last segment, it talks about the real threat: the next stage of the ice age, which is coming soon. This is heartening, and I think it will soon be politically incorrect to push the AGW Hoax, and well overdue.

A very informative programme.

Though as regards anthropogenic global warming its relative absence is not to be surprised at, in geological terms what humans do to their environment is of infinitesimally minuscule significance. Human history may be of importance to us, but within geological time it is neither here nor there. As for the end of this interglacial, as they point out, it will happen within the next 15,000 years; I'm sure the affects of anthropogenic global warming will have plenty of time to manifest themselves and make life uncomfortable for many within that time frame.
