Coronavirus Threat
Same here, I will wear it in a store, but that's it.
The true purpose of democracy is not to select the best leaders — a clearly debatable obligation — but to facilitate the prompt and peaceful removal of obviously bad ones.

Agree. I put on a mask to enter stores because our governor says we can go to jail if we don't. This has nothing to do with science or courtesy - just keeping one's neck from under the jack boots.

Oh, masks are fully scientific, as long as by science you mean psychology and politics, not anything else.

To the politicians mask requirements create a perception of them doing something.. especially that mandating masks does not cost *them* any money, and money can be collected from the noncompliants.

The masses are now conditioned to believing that masks are a civil duty, thus businesses support them too! -- this shows that the businesses care.

And those few politicians who try to exhibit sanity, cannot.

The opinion poll of 7/23 shows 75% support for wearing the masks, no politician can fight this. Not even Trump -- who does have a sense -- but he had to give up after seeing the poll results.

So... enjoy the show, you cannot spit against the wind.

The evidence just keeps adding up on the Face Mask Myth.

Quote:Horowitz: From Fort Benning to Japan and Hawaii, face masks are not working
Even following protocols in the military didn't stop the coronavirus from spread

What we are seeing over and over again is that in areas where the virus already spread, the lockdowns don't work at all. In areas where there was a low rate of seroprevalence at the time of the lockdown, they successfully delay the spread temporarily. But because those policies are unsustainable until eradication, which could take years, they are actually forestalling herd immunity, keeping vulnerable people at risk longer, crushing their society and economies, and ensuring that so many seniors die of isolation and atrophy.

The virus eventually catches up to them, which is what we have witnessed in places like California, Hawaii, Israel, and Australia, which thought they dodged the bullet by destroying their economies. Now, they are left with nothing but a sea of cross-contaminated cloth masks.

For those of you who wondered why no other generation was 'smart' enough to think of these policies to “mitigate" a respiratory virus, the feebleness of our actions have now been unmasked.

Yes, he is obviously correct, but this does not matter -- the authorities have to show some action.

The interesting question: what will they come up with next, when it is necessary to show a new response to still continuing epidemics ?

An option considered in the UK is to impose new quarantine, for people in the 50-70 age range only.

This is somewhat logical even, except for putting the upper limit at 70.  And the implications are profound -- this would create a strong stimulus to replace older workers by younger.

No matter the case, eventually the Swedish Method of handling all this is going to come up for scrutiny with the MSM. And when is does, there will be immense pressure to get rid of all the restrictions and cloth pacifiers.

Not before the elections.

Incidentally, besides Sweden, one can look at the Netherlands with their "Masks are BS" position.

Just relax... and enjoy the show... there are so many other ways to die besides the virus.

Yesterday I'm sitting quietly talking on the phone outside of my house.  A tree fells down ~5 meters away from me.  The tree is taller than my house.... am I glad that I did not sit under it? S1

Of course not. That is the Democrat plan. For the 2008 and 2018 elections, they sabotaged the economy to attack their opponents. Their actions caused the economic problems and the complicit media helped them do so. With Trump's metrics before the pandemic rating him as the single greatest President of all time, they needed both China and a BLM event to shatter his numbers.

Our fear comes from the decades-long Democrat sabotage in our schools, entertainment, and media. The plan they use can be exemplified by how a few Soros-backed activists in AntiFa, Occupy Wall Street, and BLM can post in Social Media to generate Flash Mobs of ignorant idiot morons to use as cannon fodder. Don't believe for a minute that genuine protestors spring into the streets on their own. These duped cannon fodder protestors are a product of the Democrat dumb-down as defined by John Dewey in his 1917 book that admitted everything. It all comes together to cause this fiasco, and the fix needs at least another four years of Trump to attempt repairs. Hopefully, the Trump victories can extend with proteges aver after.

SA, early 1930s, same technique.

The Antifa et al local leaders better pray they fail, otherwise they will face Roehm-style disposal.
