Outrage as Axl Roses replaces Brian Johnson as AC/DC singer

S2 LOL but I agree. Axl Roses is an imitation of a rock singer. Guns N' Roses made just one or two moreless acceptable ablums, but made huge money thanks to Axl's specific voice, a kilt and other Pirate Of the carribean disguisements.

How they choose him to sing with AC/DC (or what remains of it) is beyond me.
Thousands of AC/DC fans have gotten their ticket refunded and an almost identical amount of Axl Roses fan bought them.
Still calling this band AC/DC is a farce. Only the lead guitarist and the bassist are left.

Did they also bitch and moan, when Bon Scott was replaced by Johnson, way back when? Yeah, I really do remember that.

The band has been in existence for forty-three years already! What does everyone expect? Is everyone going to live forever?

If this is the worst thing to worry about, then we are in Great Shape. Spiteful

Now, what's this I saw on Fox Business today about Venezuela........................?

No, this story with Axl Roses is different. But poeple outside ac/dc fan world can't understand... S5 Axl is a completely different style, different attitude than ac/dc. Both are classified "hard rock" but realy they are the same genre only on the surface. In fact Guns N' Roses wasn't much about music, it was more about clothes, hats, garnements, photographs, posing for tabloids etc...

We'll just have to wait and see Fred. Hey, AC/DC has been around for 43 years now. Maybe they need a change before retiring.

For me they already retired. The rest is just a farce.

Now ACDC is the only band which, IMO, kept up quality until the end almost undiscontinuately. All the other bands in this genre degenerated, at least after 10 years. Usualy by the middle of the 90's most of the great names of hard rock and metal already became boring or utterly bad.
The most disapointing was Deep Purple. The most creative musicians ever, but by the 90's they did so much shit it's unbelievable. Mötorhead was great until Lemmy decided to go trash metal. He stops singing and started mumbling. Metallica just repeated the same thing again and again over ten years. Just to name the most famous.
Very often, suffices that one member of the band leaves, and it's over.

Well, if you can find them on your Tb drives... Do you have a rational way of sorting your music or does it take one hour find something every time? Do you create subfolders or everything is together with thousands of mixed files? S5

I have all of my music on two exterior hard drives.  In both it is filed under "Music"(995 GB), then "Rock", "Classic Rock" and lastly to "AC/DC".  Within that Folder I have things divided into sub-folders.

1. Studio Recordings (15)
2. Live (4)
3. Compilations, Box Sets (8)
4. EP Albums (1)
5. Soundtrack Albums (2)
6. Singles, Misc (3)

Total of 6.81 gigabites of 320kbs files.  I don't store anything in "lossless", such as flac, ape, because I can convert anytime, and there is no real loss in it being uncompressed.   But I have started using MP4, because it is much better, in that a lossless file takes up less space than 320mps and can be played on almost anything.  I just haven't the time, or inclination to convert everything over to MP4.  I'm a bit lazy.  S5   But I have already begun putting in the new music with MP4.  S22

There are fifteen studio recordings, "Rock or Bust" 2014 being the last.   It will be interesting to see what a new one will be like.

That single "Gone Shootin' " is a 192kbs file from years ago. I just removed it because I have it on other places in much better quality. S5

Perhaps we need a mutual "upload" site Fred. That way, we can both have access to our collections.
