The Wonderful World of Fractals
#1
I'm a Huge fan of Fractals. I mean quality fractals, not just the everyday run-of-the-mill stuff that is coming out these days. The late 90s and first couple of years of the 21st century was the hayday of First Generation Fractal science. Hopefully, it will not die and go away, because there is so much potential out there.

Here are some of the ones I have kept and transfered from one hard drive to another, over the years, in order to keep the art alive in my mind. I'll have to use attachments for all this, so they will most likely be small. But if you click on them, they will enlarge to the size I was able to copy.

My only regret is that I was not able to copy them in larger format. S11

Here's some of Earl's stuff from before the turn of the century.  I can't remember exactly when I downloaded all of this material, but it was sometime around the year 2000.  Not sure.

I really like this one below.

This is everything I have with Earl's copyrighted name on it. If there are other, there are no copyrights showing. There are lots of other stuff, and I will post tomorrow, and later. There's great stuff here. S22

One of the things I like about Broccoflower (hybrid of cauliflower and broccoli), besides the superior taste, is that it shows a fractal design.

Broccoflower:

Its all part of the mathematical universe, where "Phi" is the root equation.   Its the Fibonacci equation, or what is commonly referred to as "The Golden Ratio" of beauty.  Its one of the prime random sequences occurring in nature, and almost certainly in the universe.

This is common in a lot of plants in nature, and even the human ear, among other things.

This is why it is illogical to argue for the lack of a grand creator of the universe.  In other words the term "Shit Just Happens" is wrong.  Its is all part of a grand strategy, of Macro-Management.   In other words, the creator sets up certain parameters and then sits back to study how the universe has turned out.

For instance, Earl sets up numbers in his fractal equation program, and watches what happens with those numbers.  Then he pulls out his powerful magnifying glass, and looks for the signs of beauty that can be highlighted.  He is using the Grand Plan, but in miniature.

Whenever I encounter the term "Fibonacci Sequence," the nautilus is the first thing that comes to mind, thanks to the TV series, "The 4400," where they went on and on about this over several episodes. It was supposed to demonstrate to us how smart one of the scientists was. S5 (The one who wound up being murdered by his female protégé.)

Never heard of that show before.  I guess I'm out of the mainstream now. Spiteful

I only use TV for History, Science channel, and Fox Business. Other than that, I love using my computer far more. S22

Here's what Wickipedia says about the TV series, 4400:

Quote:The series ran for four seasons from 2004 until its cancellation in 2007.

In the pilot episode, an enormous ball of light deposits a group of exactly 4400 people in the Cascade Range foothills near Mount Rainier, Washington. Each of the 4400 had disappeared at various times starting from 1946 in a beam of white light. None of the 4400 have aged from the time of their disappearance. Confused and disoriented, they remember nothing between the time of their disappearance and their return.

Some of the people (including one especially precocious young girl) turn out to have amazing mental gifts, such as telekinesis, telepathy and precognition.

I found another one of Earl's, which I really do like a lot.

Not sure who did this one, because there is no name on the work.  Its very pleasing.

This one's very interesting.
