New Forum on Militant Islam and Terror
#1
I'm adding a separate discussion section to the War on Terrorism and Islam role in it.
There are just too many things going on that are completely different from other events around the world.

I'll also be moving threads that cover this terrorism over to here, just to keep it away from other subjects. And I suppost 90+ percent of the Middle East Meltdown thread is also about Islam's impact on that area as well.

So, the next time you want to post a thread on yet one more attack on civilization, please begin it here.

Obama's lack-luster speech tonight avoided anything to do with actually confronting Militant Islam, so I doubt he will show up here.

I hear his apologists spinning the "Radicalized" aspect to home-grown terrorism, as if that makes it not really Islamic at all. Every single terrorist, including Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, were radicalized at one point or another. That's what makes them the bad guys.

This guy has no trouble getting to the meat of the subject.

Good idea: Islam is one major, global issue today.

Will you add the threads from the religion forum too? Because sometimes I don't know where to post what...

How does a person "confront" Islam from a political office?

"All you people need to convert to atheism or we'll come get ya"!

Seriously?

I think I will keep them in the Religion, Philosophy section for right now.

It's ok. I just think that islamic terroism can't be separated from islamic theology. of course there are aspects of Islam which are purely religious and not linked with Wachky Islam. You see yourslef.

Fred,

You are correct. That doesn't change much.

Political leaders can't just up and opine on Islamic jihad.

Islam is not going to be challenged by politics, it will be by wise Christians willing to use their time studying issues and ways to evangelize Muslims into Christ. The Islamic faith has such internal self contradictions.

Example: Their entire faith is predicated on Jesus NOT being crucified. Well, the historic method says Jesus was crucified, people who hated Jesus and loved Jesus reported He was crucified. Including His own mother!

600 years later, along comes an Arab guy who says, "Jesus was not crucified, that was actually Judas that looked like Jesus and Jesus started looking like Judas". Cause, "Jesus came to me and told me this".

Really? Does a Muslim really have confidence in that after some serious reflection? Things like that, Islam has never really had a challenge to it and I think Islam cannot avoid it now with globalism.

Politics, hatefulness, these will fail.

Agreed.

This is the best article I've seen detailing how Obama sees this and how the USA right sees it.

When you can't call someone who is killing others while yelling "allah akbar" an Islamic Terrorist, something is wrong with your perspective.

Obama will not approve this section of the forum.
I know you think you understand what you thought I said,
but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant!

That's true, but, I know Christians who will say a man is not a Christian if he does X. A lot of folks don't want to face reality, every group has bad people within it.

The former poster here named "Man" or "Otto" was a Muslim Turk and he would swear these terrs were not Muslims. To him, they are terrs, but, not Muslims. Obama may be like that or he may be avoiding the "Islamic terr" just to try and minimize giving any an excuse to get radicalized by his vernacular.

It's like I said earlier, all people have bad among us, but, to my knowledge, only Islam has a religious function called jihad whereby a Muslim may become "radicalized" and become a jihadist.

What sets a specific Muslim off on that path is unknown, but, no other religion has that trigger mechanism for indiscriminate violence which includes slavery, rape and murder formally documented in the Koran or important Hadiths.

Generally, a Muslim man can enslave a non Muslim woman taken in warfare and enjoy her sexually and he may execute any non Muslim.

That's in their formal documentation.

I just finished a booked "Jesus and the Jihad" by a well respected Christian researcher. He pretty much just quotes things out of Koran or Hadiths about slavery, rape and killing that is acceptable or that Mohammad participated in.

ISIS is closer to a "good Muslim" than a nice person that is a Muslim. They're actually doing identical stuff that is in the Koran.

Honestly, I think the average Muslim is like the average Christian, they do not know a damn thing about their faith outside the most basic stuff, the 1%.

If all Muslims knew what was in there and the accepted Hadiths, half would become terrorists and the other half would become Christians or atheists. It would happen in 1 generation, too.
