My sister's cat was just killed by a dog

Charlie have to ask you permission to jump off the bed? Doe he need permission to jump on the bed too?

Here, I have trained Musius (translation: Fly) to never sleep on my bed because he leaves hairs behind, in unbelievable quantities. So he has his red blanket on the corridor sofa. But when I'm sitting on this sofa, he goes into wardrobe and sleeps on old clothes. He doesn't like to sit near me but he must be in the same room. There can't be no door closed between him and me. That would trigger immediate cries. It happened a few times that I close the wardrobe door with him inside inadvertantly and left him there for a few hours. S2
Yet at night, he must sleep near the entry door (inside). Because he was also trained as a guardian.

Fred, Charlie has learned to make sure his pack leader, Alpha Male (me), approves what he does with certain things. He knows that my bed is my bed. He knows he can get on it, and he sleeps with me, but likes to ask to get off when I am here in the bedroom, working on the computer. If I wasn't here, he would use his own initiative.

Also, Charlie does not shed. He gets groomed/sheered ever seven weeks, when my groomer drives her van to the house and clips both Charlie and Gizmo. That's one of the reasons why I am a certified Shih-tzu person.

Yeah, Musius and me, we are not certified Shih-tzu persons but you can groom him every three day or comb him twice a day, he will shed hairs by the hour anyway. I totaly stopped giving him cookies, bread crumbs and rice and started give better food and it helped a little bit but he still produces an impressive amount of hairs.
I just trim his moustaches and eyebrows when they hinder his vision.
