Wood Working Shop tips
#1
I'm amazed that I never began a thread dedicated to this very thing, since I am constantly in my shop doing some project or other power with tools.

I am presently in the process of making an enclosure for my Ridgid 16 gal. vacuum, and locating my Ridgid thickness planer on top. One of the things I am planning to do is take my Craftsman tool actuated switch, and attach it to the cabinet. Anyway, while going through the FineWoodworking site, I came across the video that shows how it works.

If you do woodworking, and use a vacuum with your tools, turning the vacuum on and off along with the tool is such a pain. this makes it much easier to do.

There are some very talented wood workers on the internet, and I follow several of them. One of them is a fellow named "Izzy Swan" and he comes up with many ingenious things. Here's one of them that I really like. Its a bench that converts into a dining table.

Here's his home page.
