The change
#1
My wife has started menopause.
Wake up at 3AM frozen. The AC is set at 60 & the blankets have been kicked off the bed and she's mad because the lousy AC can't make it any cooler...

Anyone here have the love of their life go through it? How did you cope?
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Its worse for some than others. And the hot flashes are hell at times.

Doesn't an estrogen prescription help?

Sorry, rough one man. Usually they only last a few minutes ... although they can hit with high frequently in some women. Having the AC at 60 would probably be miserable the rest of the time when they aren't hitting. Where I live, the daily highs won't breach freezing until next week sometime and the lows will be -5 to -10F below zero. Shitty weather but the outside air temp is the perfect relief for this sort of ailment.

Please be patient.

Mood swings are the worst. She has had to take two days off in the last three weeks. Glad she can feel them coming -last sick day before that was three years ago... Very happy her DON is a couple of years older & remembers when she went through it.
