War on Obesity

You NEED a cheat day each week. It's good for your body and helps keep your system healthy. Once you get rid of the stuff that's been sticking around making you a fat lump of shit, your body burns off the fat and carbs that you take in almost immediately. It helps keep you sane as well. Assume that a caveman living in the wild would have encountered a berry patch of some sort. He would have eaten every single one of those berries because the sweetness would be too much for him to resist. Then he'd move on and resume his regular eating habits. For the most part, sugar is poison to our bodies, but in small doses it isn't harmful. We have just lost all comprehension as to what a "normal" amount of anything is. To this day I believe a serving size of Cheetos is around a bag and a half; anything less is just some form of cruel punishment.

I genuinely think there is a conspiracy when it comes to corn, grains and the corn syrups concerning the food pyramid, the education kids get concerning eating right, and our current levels of obesity/stupidity.

And Ghoullio, you need to get on the Hall, and post your success story.

Well, it looks like there is only one diet that works all the time, and that is the low carb diet. No matter how much 'so called' experts poo poo the concept, and the results, high protein and fats will cause the body to shed the pounds faster.

So they are claiming that starchy foods are worse than fatty foods? That is hard to believe. One gram of fat provides nine calories, while one gram of starch is only about five calories, if I remember correctly from my college nutrition class.

(I like to tell people that I am allergic to calories--they make me swell up.)

As a recently diagnosed diabetic, I have been told that what I have to limit in my diet even more than sugar is "carbs." So there could be some truth to what the researchers are suggesting. But it was a very small study, involving only 21 people.

Of course, one can always cheat nature, as Anthony Weiner's Sydney Leathers has done. After all, a nip and tuck here, nose job there, plus boob job, and other niceties thrown in, and one can enhance one's image.

And yet, the basic structure, along with those evenly spread out fat cells, are still waiting for just the right time to blossom out, when one is not walking the straight and narrow. And she is clearly a case for the "balooning with age" physical types.

I would start by eliminating the FDA, and then banning Big Agriculture and HFCS.
