I guess Eddie Fisher will be next, right?

Oh, that's right.  He's already beat them out the door.  Shock

She was evidently going over plans for her daughter's funeral, when she had her stroke.

I always enjoyed those old Debbie Reynolds' films. I keep a copy of "Singin' In The Rain" for down days.

Debbie was great, but Jean Hagen stole the show.

Her other great performances were in "How the West was Won" and "The Singing Nun."

I remember her as "Tammy" from the four Tammy movies. She was so cute! I loved her song.

I didn't realize this until just now, that John Hurt passed away the other day.  I always liked him as an actor, and will forever remember that deadly critter exploding out of his abdomen in the movie Alien.    S11

I wonder why the roles he had that were dependent upom SFX are the ones we remember best. For me, it was Elephant man.

He was also a good wand-maker in Harry Potter.

Omar Ahmad Rahman, "Blind Sheik" suspected in World Trade Center bombing, dead at 78

Quote:Omar Ahmad Rahman, the so-called “Blind Sheik” convicted of plotting terror attacks in the United States in the 1990s, died Saturday in a federal prison where he was serving a life sentence. He was 78.

Rahman died at 5:40 a.m. after suffering from diabetes and coronary artery disease, said Kenneth McKoy at the Federal Correction Complex in Butner, North Carolina. He had been at the complex for seven years.

Rahman had a suspected link to the bombing of the World Trade Center in 1993 but was never convicted, CBS News senior investigative producer Pat Milton reports.

Rahman’s daughter, Asmaa, announced the death in a series of Arabic-language tweets: “We are saddened by your departure, father,” she wrote.

She may be, but I'm not, not one bit. Spiteful

Oh, and as an after thought, Norma McCorvey, Jane Roe of Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion nationwide, dies at 69.

Perhaps it would have been more fitting if Gloria Allred was the one making the transition instead. Spiteful

Alan Colmes was one of the few Leftist commentators who could hold his own on issues without talking over everyone.

While it was often hard to comprehend how anyone could think the way Colmes thought, he was able to expound his liberal viewpoint without being rude and insulting--the very last person who would participate in a street riot throwing bricks and trying to shout down opponents. His best friend was the super-conservative Sean Hannity. Watching the two of them spar on FNC was actually rather pleasurable, and suggested hope that liberals and conservatives might be able to live in the same universe, dialoging peaceably. Now of course it seems that all hope of dialog has departed, and all that remains is open war. I guess liberals do not deserve to have an Alan Colmes among them.
