That reminds me,....................I need to start a thread on speech recognition software. I wonder if anyone here is using a program?

Would you like to start the thread Fred? Anyone?

Yes, but over all the 5 seasons, he played only two episodes.... S6

They haven't killed him off ... he is 'technically' the second longest surviving character. Plus now he has Yoda grade Ninja skills!!

If you want to move this to the new thread be my guest. Bahhh!! If it wasn't for keyboards, we'd all be drooling on the floor by now. It's the last little thing that's keeping up the wiring between our fingers and our brains. Voice recognition will turn us all into Java the Hut slugs. Our arms will atrophy. We'll all end up like some mutant versions of T-Rex ... scary in only the most hideous sense of the word. I'm so envious of people that play the piano ... jealous of their wiring. Eventually we'll all be ordering machines to do our work and type our text and cook our food and put it in our mouths and flush the toilet when we take a dump (I think the Japanese already have developed this one) ... then shortly after we'll become extinct ... like T-Rex.

Yesterday night I watched fear-the-walking-dead-season-1-episode-1-online (FTWD)
(I can't believe it's already free to watch on the internet...)

IMO the episode was good, there are many interresting things. For example there are characters who, alife are already behaving half like a walking dead. Like nick hobbling, dragging a foot. He is a junkie and he is already like a zombie and lives already in a place looking like post apocalyptical.
The background sound is also participating in the mounting tension while nothing real happens...

But it's too much like you average american TV serie.

In TWD the characters are natural, I mean very close to poeple you would expect to meet in the real life. In FTWD they are those that you would expect to see in a TV serie.

FTWD lacks this second degree humor, this sens of touché which is so great in TWD.

But there one thing funny: The school principal looks like Obama... and is spying on the teachers, a reference to the NSA scandal.
I don't know if it was deliberate but if it is it's excellent!

Walking Dead Fan Fatally Beats Friend He Thought Was Turning Into a Zombie

I don't think watching this alone can cause homicide. These guys were consuming more than beer and tv, IMO.

Anyway:
TWD season 6 kicks ass

and FTWD too!

Thought, scenario, in both, are a bit tricky at times.

I just don't like this excess of pessimism on human kind.
But that's maybe the underlying phylosophy: Poeple are dying more because they kill each others than because of natural causes (assuming this EBOLA virus mutation is natural).
...Or that humanity is bound to disapear because many among us are evil, despite a few who are not.

But I don;t think poeple would be so inhuman in a post apocalyptic world.

So you're saying that tribalism isn't a human trait?

No, I said it wasn't an European trait. S6

Tribalism doesn't mean we kill each others for pleasure. Tribes make war only when necessary.

Yeah, looks good... S5

One thing I didn't understand is why they never wear bullet proof jackets when they are out for a shoot-out...
